AI, just like oil in the 20th century, is about to become the major source of leverage and power in the world. Depending on how the coming years unfold, it will either lead to a world of wealth and abundance for all, or to the worst extractive economies that the world has ever seen. We're there to fight for the first scenario, as we progress AI research and accelerate its diffusion across the world – we're hiring if you like the quest.
Last, but not least, don't sleep on this one: Le Chat now has Work mode (Preview) — a powerful agent for complex long-horizon tasks like research, analysis, and actions across your connected tools. Connectors are on by default so the agent pulls context from docs, email, and calendars as it works, and sessions persist across many turns until the task is complete.
Next up at #haystackconf is Stephane Renault of Front - his talk has the provocative tagline "how relevance and ranking are not always the best way to improve search."

@noah_putnam@ljin18 Thank you @noah_putnam, interesting numbers and angle! I think @ljin18's point about ads VS fan monetization is key. But how will this happen? 1) existing marketplaces add monetization features ? 2) new creator stack with monetization built-in 3) rise of creators studio (YC like)
A final note. This isn’t about free expression. This is about paying for reach. And paying to increase the reach of political speech has significant ramifications that today’s democratic infrastructure may not be prepared to handle. It’s worth stepping back in order to address.
@batmansmk@zachtratar Indeed! With https://t.co/Z6VN3YvKPO, we've built a prototype to generate a doc with screenshots and comments out of clicks you make. While testing it with users, we learned the bigger challenge was to keep the documentation up to date with all the product changes.
@fortelabs@worldbrain Do you mean for business of leisure? Because @googlephotos, @Apple memory videos, @Quik_App, @adobe Premiere Rush are helping a lot. I think for many videos, the bottleneck is that there is a post-production phase. Imagine if a platform didn't allow it or if it was automatic.
@CharlesGedeon @a3pio @david_perell@discoveratlas Yes, capturing and sharing easily something you're doing or just did, is something we truly believe can be 10x improved.
We're currently looking into customer support and tutorials. Do you have particular use cases in mind? I would love to hear your thoughts!
@david_perell We're working on something leveraging screenshots here https://t.co/LBkG4dEcdE but I would love to know more about what use cases you have in mind. Is taking screenshots a common activity in a particular job? We're looking at QA with bug report, customer support, sales...
I'll be hosting my final event at @parisoma and share our latest study on #Slack, right after #slackfrontiers and before its IPO. Followed by a panel discussion with @emilywang from @askspoke, @qhoang09 from @platohq, & Rob Young from @omstudiosf 🙌 https://t.co/7TubkCZ3jY
I'm a big fan of all the initiatives improving access to information and knowledge, and https://t.co/2RAjkjPe4b looks really interesting! Bc with all the content available, the challenge is to read the right thing and not to read the same thing over & over https://t.co/hY5eR85mjM
Great article investigating #DeepMind & his founder Demis Hassabis. Beyond the technical achievements DeepMind' story is very inspiring when thinking about long term vision, #ethic and governance, especially when sitting on a gold mine of talent & data https://t.co/h7rM3dc66H #ai
Now that the hardcover window has passed, and since people don't read, here's a Tweetstorm summary of Status as a Service, which I'll abbreviate as StaaS (h/t @naval) to disambiguate from SaaS. https://t.co/EuQvFMRolg
