شاهنشاها، یکسال دیگر از آخرین دیدار ما سپری شد، و این بار من هم از طرف خودم، و هم از طرف نمایندگان ملت ایران، برای ادای احترام، و همینطور دادن گزارشی کوتاه از آنچه با تو و بی تو بر ایران و ایرانی گذشته و میگذرد، با تو همسر عزیزم گفتگویی دارم.
امروز چهل و شش سال از روزی که ایران و ایرانیان، و همینطور من و خانواده ات را ترک کردی میگذرد، و در این مدت چه ها که بر ما و بر سر این ملک و ملت گذشته.
از اوایل قرن بیستم ایران با داشتن دو رهبر بزرگ نگر، قدم در راهی گذاشت که هیچ کشور دیگری در منطقه حتی تصور آن را هم به خودش راه نمی داد.
پدرت، رضا شاه بزرگ، در سخت‌‌ترین دوران جهان آنروز، ایران را از تقسیم و تجزیه نجات داد و پایه های کشوری متمدن و مستقل را بنا نهاد.
سپس به همت کار مداوم تو، شاهنشاه ایران، کشور ویران بعد از جنگ، تبدیل به ایران آباد شد، و ایرانی سرافکنده، مغرور و سربلند.
ایران کم کم مورد نگاههای حسرت بار بعضی و امیدواری بعضی دیگر قرار گرفت، و ابر قدرت‌ها نیز به تدریج با نگاه‌های نگران به آن نگریستند.
در انتهای آن دوران طلایی، تمامی کشور‌های منطقه در آرزوی بدست آوردن جزیی از آنچه ایران به دست آورده بود بودند، ولی تو کماکان به دنبال نشاندن ایران در سطح پیشرفته ترین کشور های جهان.
تو، شاهنشاه ایران زمین، با اعتقاد به حمایت بی چون و چرای ملت ایران هيچ نوع توافقی را با بزرگان جهان که حتی قدمی با ایران بزرگ مورد نظرت تفاوت داشته باشد قبول نداشتی، ولی افسوس که آن حمایت از تو دریغ شد، و بدون آن پشتیبانی حیاتی، تا به امروز شاهد خسارات بسیار سنگین و کمرشکن اش بوده ایم و هنوز هم هستیم.
ایرانی را که تو ترک کردی با تمامی کشور های جهان رابطه دوستانه داشت، و درهای آنها بدون ویزا برای ما باز بود، ولی ایران امروز، با عنوان حامی نخست تروریسم جهانی، تنها با شماری اندک رابطه ای نیمه دوستانه دارد.
در ایرانی که تو ساختی، درآمد یک کارگر ایرانی امکان یک زندگی راحت را به خانواده اش میداد. امروز کارگر ایرانی حتی قادر به تهیه مایحتاج اولیه زندگی اش هم نیست.
ایران تو در مهم ترین کارخانه های جهان سرمایه گذاری میکرد، و به کشورهای اروپایی پول قرض میداد، و امروز کاسه گدایی دولت آن در انتظار اجازه آمریکا برای خرید غذاست.
پادشاه تاجدار من، به تو به عنوان همسری بی مانند و مهربان، و پدری با علاقه و توجه بسیار به زندگی و تربیت فرزندانش درود میفرستم.
به تو به عنوان ”بزرگ ارتشتاران فرمانده“ درود میفرستم. تو با جهان بینی، برای میهنت پنجمین نیروی دفاعی جهان را بوجود آوردی، تا هیچ کشوری حتی فکر تجاوز به ایران را هم به خود راه ندهد.
نسل جوان و برومند امروز ایران، همانهایی که رژیم اسلامی با صرف هزینه های هنگفت و دروغ‌های بزرگ درباره دوران ما، می خواست حامی خودش باشد، با آگاهی بسیار از آنچه ما ساختیم، با دست خالی، ولی با اراده ای آهنین رو در روی آنها ایستاده، به خاندان پهلوی درود میفرستد، و با صدای بلند سقوط رژیم وحشت را میخواهد.
همین چندی پیش شاهد بزرگترین کشتار تاریخ ملتی توسط دولت حاکمش بودیم، دهها هزار جوان برومند ما به فرمان رهبران امروز ایران، در تنها دو روز در خاک و خون غلطیدند، و ملتی را داغدار و خونخواه خود کردند.
امروز همان رهبران در آتش جنگی خانمان سوز، سخت درگیرند، و ملتی که آن روز همه چیز داشت، امروز گرسنه، بی دفاع و مستاصل نمی داند با چه فردایی رو بروست.
رضا، پسر بزرگت که هنگام رفتن تو جوانی ۱۹ ساله بود، رهبری باز پس گیری ایران و رسیدن به دوران گذار را به عهده گرفته.
امید من و همه ایرانیان است که با پیروزی نهایی نور بر تاریکی، ایرانیان، یک دل و یک صدا، و دست در دست هم کمر همت به ساختن آینده آن ببندند، و از نو ایرانی پیشرفته و سر بلند بسازند.

Well it is official now..

I want to again express my sincere appreciation to President Donald J. Trump @POTUS for nominating me to lead NASA, and to the United States Senate--and Chairman Cruz @tedcruz - for their diligence and fairness throughout the confirmation process. I am grateful to Secretary Duffy @SecDuffy for his leadership as Acting Administrator during this transition, and to my wife Monica, my family, my friend Senator Sheehy @TimSheehyMT and everyone who offered their support along the way.

As I step into this role, I make these personal commitments:

– Mission: I will champion the bold objectives of human space exploration, scientific discovery, and a thriving orbital economy that ensures America’s leadership in space. We will never again give up our capabilities to reach for the stars, and we will never settle for second place.

– Integrity: I will serve responsibly, transparently, and without personal gain, covering every cost I am legally permitted to, and fully adhering to my ethics agreement. My loyalty is to my country, my President, and the space agency that has inspired me since I was a child.

– Urgency: I will intensely focus the agency on achieving the near-impossible, the very reason NASA was established in the first place. We will eliminate the bureaucracy that impedes progress and empower the best and brightest to take ownership, move quickly, accept smart risks, and act with a relentless focus on mission success.

– Inspiration: Every launch, every scientific breakthrough must inspire the next generation to dream bigger, to reach higher, and believe that anything is possible. In addition to my existing philanthropic efforts, I will donate my salary as Administrator to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s Space Camp to help prepare the pioneers of tomorrow.

Europe doesn't have "a problem". It has THREE problems: 3 European nations are suffering from a severe "post-imperial hangover".

First, there is the United Kingdom, a nation that voted for Brexit to "take back control" only to realize it has completely forgotten how to drive.

The British identity crisis is like watching a retired lion try to adopt a vegan diet. They traded imperial confidence for an HR department’s sensitivity training. The land of Churchill is now governed by a sprawling "nanny state" bureaucracy that is more terrified of offending someone on X than it is of actual decline. The British police, once the envy of the world, now seem to spend more resources investigating "non-crime hate incidents" and painting their patrol cars in rainbow colors than solving burglaries. It is a nation desperately clinging to the aesthetics of tradition—the Royals, the pomp, the tea—while its institutions have been hollowed out by a progressive rot that makes a California university campus look conservative. They want the swagger of the 19th century but are paralyzed by the emotional fragility of the 21st.

Then there is France, the angry, chain-smoking aunt of Europe who refuses to admit she’s been unemployed for decades.

France’s hangover manifests as a permanent state of insurrection masquerading as "civic engagement." Their identity is split between a delusional elite who still think Paris is the capital of the universe and a populace that expresses its "joie de vivre" by burning down bus stops every Thursday. The French suffer from a Napoleonic complex without a Napoleon; they demand the living standards of a conquering empire while working a 35-hour week and retiring at an age when most Americans are just hitting their stride. They preach "Republican values" and aggressive secularism, yet the state has lost control over vast swathes of its own suburbs. France is essentially a beautiful, open-air museum where the curators are on strike, the guards are afraid of the visitors, and the management is busy lecturing the rest of the world on "grandeur" while the electricity bill goes unpaid.

Finally, we have Germany, the neurotic giant that has decided the only way to atone for its history is to commit slow-motion industrial suicide.

Germany’s post-imperial hangover is a moral autoimmune disease: the country is so terrified of its own shadow that it has replaced national pride with aggressive self-flagellation and recycling regulations. Their identity is built on being the "Moral Superpower," which practically translates to shutting down their perfectly functional nuclear power plants to burn dirty coal, all while lecturing their neighbors on carbon footprints. It is a nation of engineers who have engineered a society that doesn't work. The German spirit, once defined by efficiency and discipline, has mutated into a paralyzed bureaucracy where filling out the correct form is more important than the outcome. They are so desperate to avoid being "threatening" that they’ve become essentially a large NGO with an army that has broomsticks for rifles, terrified that showing any backbone might be interpreted as a relapse.
