@PitchingNinja The @Phillies have done a really good job with SP the last few years so it’s hard to criticize them for not getting the maximum out of Painter. This shows, though, that Painter could be at the level of Miz….
@mcuban What is preventing large economies within the US (like California or NYC) from implementing universal coverage for their residents? Yes, of course there would be the same obstacles to overcome that have been listed before but these more focused regions would be where to start.
@AndBadFaith Couldn’t agree more. It’s the mindset of “I’ll do everything I can as long as it makes me better off no matter what it does to anyone else”. It’s pervasive in everything in society today.
@FightinsTalk Can’t keep putting Marchan out there. He gets one hit per week and never walks. He should just take the K and stay in the dugout, at least that would be better than GDP.
@JoeyWade84 Totally agree but yet nobody calls out tracks or series for forcing every team to buy the same tires from the same vendor. Why? The track/series is lining their pockets with the tire money too.
@Bob_Wankel 2026? It’s been an albatross for 4 years. I don’t understand how an organization can continually put someone on the field that decreases the chances of winning in the name of already spent dollars? They get credit for the great deals, like Wheeler, they can also eat the bad one
@FightinsTalk Maybe but having two SP signed to long term contracts that can’t go a start without giving up 5 runs is an albatross that will bury them for half a decade.
@johnrstrayer@TheRedStripesSG@NatalieEgenolf Eh, there were some years in those ranges, if using the current playoff format, where they would have qualified for the Post Season. Just saying there were a lot of bad years but there were some decent teams in there too.
