@HyperliquidX 가 DEX이기 때문에 자산 동결로부터 안전할 거라는 생각은 아주 잘못된 것임

#OFAC 가 @TornadoCash 를 제재 명단에 올렸던 시절, Hyperliquid 는 Tornado Cash 와 접점이 있는 모든 지갑을 자동으로 출금 정지 처리를 시킴

본인은 Tornado Cash 의 Privacy 기능을 테스트하기 위해 Tornado Cash Contract에서 상호작용을 한 바 있음.

그러나 얼마 지나지 않아 Hyperliquid의 메인 웹사이트에서 지갑의 출금이 정지됨

사방팔방 수소문한 끝에 Hyperliquid Trading Bot의 프론트엔드를 통해 겨우 출금한 기억이 있음

출금 정지의 해프닝 때문에 매수했던 자산들은 다 폭락해서 적기에 매도를 하지 못했음

해당 부분을 Discord에서 티켓 열고 항의했는데 밴 당했음ㄷㄷ

왜 아무도 이 부분을 언급하지 않는 것인지 솔직히 이해가 안됨

물론 KYC를 진행하지 않아도 사용할 수 있는 거래소라는 점에서는 KYC 정보가 유출될 리스크 자체를 제외시켜 버릴 수 있는 환경이기 때문에 매우 매력적임

그러나 Hyperliquid는 많은 사람들이 고객센터의 대응이 shit이라는 평가가 많았다는 점을 생각하면 본인한테만 그러는 건 아닌 것 같음

만약 OFAC가 Railgun(@RAILGUN_Project) 이나 Privacy Cash (@theprivacycash)를 제재 명단에 올린다면, 해당 Contract와 상호작용한 모든 지갑이 @unitxyz 의 약관 조항을 근거로 출금이 중단될 수도 있음😂

고로 결론은 DEX라고 동결에서 자유롭지 않으니 동결될 것이 무섭다면 Self-custody가 best임

500 $BTC, which had been a dormant wallet since its last activity in 2016, woke up 3 months ago and moved again today. At the time, 500 $BTC was worth ≈$194.82K. When he was arrested on drug-related charges, there was an incident in which 6,000 $BTC hidden in a fishing tackle box at the house he was renting was thrown into the trash by the landlord. Part of these funds was deposited to @wintermute_t and @Coinbase Prime. These amounts appear to have been sold OTC or custodied by a specific entity. Wallets owned by the drug dealer still hold 4500 $BTC ($277.16M), which is assumed to be unrecovered. For reference, this drug dealer was released from prison in 2022.
