I keep circling back to the experiential nature of life. You could say it's my core philosophy of living life.
Often I find, the problems of life, trivial and profound, sort themselves out by living fully and embracing the experience of hindsight.

We are closer than you think to a reigniting of the moral panic currently being promulgated against trans women being redirected against gay men
“Is it safe to send my young boys into a washroom or change room where gay men might be present?”
“Gay men are too dangerous to be around young children, even as parents”
Men secretly love that trans women exist because we are a class of women its socially acceptable for them to assault and rape.
Their porn habits (and my dms... 🤢) show they see us as women sexually, "transphobia" is just an excuse for them to express their misogyny.
Trans women are the ultimate avatar for misogynists hatred of women. They can freely and openly express their desire to exercise violence on us while also expressing fetishistic desire to us in private (our dms).
The dies are rolled either way. Non intervention is an intervention as well
The duty is absolutely to health, which includes mental health as well as physical health.
Sometimes we make sacrifices in one domain for gains on the other. As an example, most people would make a rational trade off a soecific decline in their physical quality of life for a larger gain in their mental health. This concept is foundational in quality of life research. Not to mention that improved mental health can drive improvements in physical health, and adverse mental health states are associated with higher mortality
There is a nonideological framing at the root, which is first “can it work” in an individual, and then “does it work” in an identifiable population
Both those questions are answerable and researchable, so long as you are not ideologically committed to an outcome
I can absolutely imagine a world where we proven beyond a shodownof a doubt that transition makes people’s lives holistically worse, and where no subpopulation can be identified where that doesn’t hold true
If that does, I will have to simply recognize that I was a lucky exception to the rule, and bury my current advocacy at sea. But until then, we are likely going to continue to be respectful adversaries.
Who would have thought that a society that allows trans women to transition early enough to become largely visually congruent with their preferred sex class is also one that is more accepting of trans women in general?
My new Tangent "Eyes Wide Shut" discusses the 1999 erotic thriller, conspiracy theories, reefer madness, cuckoldry, Arthur Schnitzler, the Epstein files, and the only theoretical framework that can make sense of contemporary politics: Jungian dream analysis. Up now on Patreon.
While @JonniSkinner ‘s detransition narrative may seem unusual, we know so little about the phenomenon of AMAB transition failure that it’s really impossible to know if that’s the case
I had the opportunity to better understand why transition didn’t work for Jonni, and maybe understand a bit better on how to support young AMABs with the drive to transition.
This clip by @stclairashley is dead on. Trans panic is not about protecting women and little girls.
It’s low IQ slop for lazy content creators. It affects very few people and the focus comes at the expense of materially improving women’s lives.
I try not to get too emotionally affected by campaign and PR media from trans ally politicians because I know it’s all calculated, but this one got me. Seeing a politician not only say he supports us, but being on camera with and listening to the actual target of the right wing hate machine…it’s just been a while since we’ve had powerful people stick up for us like this.
Whether he wins or not, what he did here matters to us. If everyone could be like Tom, trans people wouldn’t be so scared and alone. We need more Toms.
She’s not stealing medals from anyone.
Everyone can see you’re just attacking a child for being a bit different, and a mother for making a different medical decision than you would have when facing a difficult medical situation.
This is what it’s about.
Make sports about belonging. About community. About pushing yourself to your best.
As long as it is safe for trans girls to participate, and as long as competitive advantages are accounted for, they should be allowed to play and be included
Prior to transition, trans women have brains that makes them want to become women; ciis men do not
It is also likely that over time, through a combination of hormonal exposure, and female – type experiences and interactions, that the brain becomes more female typical with the passage of time
