@EdnaChiang studies the relationship between hibernating squirrels and their gut microbiome to help inform future research about biomedical issues related to diet and nutrition – like hibernating astronauts!

Native Wisconsinite and @suenlab student Andrew Steinberger works with local dairy farmers to study how antibiotic use on farms impacts their prevalence of antibiotic resistance.
He plans to continue using microbiology to solve agricultural problems.
