We humbly request Hon'ble ministers & AP Gov to conduct a Common recruitment test, ensuring transparent, merit-based opportunity for every eligible https://t.co/H4Vx404UVx. & A.H.#Thousands of vety graduates for 164 post -exam is the only solution
"Andhra Pradesh Veterinary students, the future doctors of animal health, have been receiving a mere ₹7,000 stipend for the past 13 years—far less than what is needed for survival in today's economy."
We, the students of CVSc, Tirupathi, Gannavaram, Proddatur, Garividi, are writing to bring to your attention the long-standing issue of inadequate stipends for veterinary students at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD levels.
Currently, https://t.co/lfV815fDcM & A.H internship students receive only ₹7,000 per month, an amount that has remained unchanged for the past 13 years, while MBBS internship students now receive ₹25,906.
Students of other medical courses such as BDS, Ayurveda, and Homeopathy receive significantly higher stipends. Yet, veterinary students continue to face neglect in this matter.
Postgraduate veterinary students receive only ₹9,000 per month, while MBBS PG students receive ₹50,000-80,000. Additionally, PhD veterinary scholars receive ₹10,000, whereas their counterparts in medical fields are provided significantly higher stipends. CVSc, Garividi has no VCI recognition till now.
Veterinary professionals play an equally vital role in controlling zoonotic diseases, ensuring food safety, safeguarding public health, and supporting the rural economy through livestock health management. Despite these important contributions, the stipend structure remains unjust and inadequate, creating a financial burden for the students.
We are granting the university a two-day period to address this demand. If no official action or commitment is made within this time frame, we will be forced to initiate a strike and escalate our protest until our rightful demand for fair stipends is met.
This is not merely a request; it is a demand for equity and justice. We trust that you will take immediate action to ensure that veterinary students receive the appropriate stipend that reflects the value of their education and contributions.
