a question in mind for a long time. why are vehicles diverted to opposite lane on highways during peak hours?? Everyone in mumbai knows in morning towards mumbai is red and vice versa for evening. People travelling from mumbai to borivali get stuck due to this.

irrespective of these diversions people take 2:30 to 3:00 hours to travel towards mumbai. But traffic from bandra to borivali which takes 1 hour, due to diversions take 1:30 to 1:45 hours. why traffic officials why?@MTPHereToHelp
