@PalantirOg My bet is that Palladyne AI, BlackSky, and Ginkgo Bioworks become the OS-level bottlenecks at the edge. 😏
Feels like Palantir’s DNA is embedded in them.
JAPAN IS SO HUNGRY FOR SPACEX SHARES THAT SPACEX RAISED ITS LOCAL FUNDRAISING TARGET BY 25%
The new Japan target: $2.5 billion. That makes it one of the largest IPO allocations Japan has seen since SoftBank's mega listing in 2018.
Japan is one of the only countries in the world where retail investors can directly buy into the SpaceX IPO, alongside Australia, Canada, and parts of Europe.
The demand is overwhelming. Investors in Australia waited almost an hour in call center queues just to ask their broker about SpaceX shares. In Korea, retail investors are exchanging tips on how to get indirect exposure through big tech stocks and space ETFs since they can't buy directly.
China and Hong Kong were shut out entirely. Underwriters were told not to accept orders citing restrictions around exports of critical technology.

Full disclosure upfront: This will be a longer post. $PDYN is my largest personal holding by a wide margin, built through open market purchases over time. They are also a client of mine. Posting about clients on fintwit is not part of my scope and I rarely do it unless I believe in the company enough to have my own money in it. This is one of those times. And because I am subject to blackout periods around material announcements, this is not a trade for me. I don't care about the trading volatility on a daily basis. This is a long-term bet that $PDYN, IMHO, can evolve into a mini-Anduril. Not FA. Company webcast tomorrow morning to discuss:
https://t.co/bEQ965Rl6W
Here is what PDYN announced this morning:
An exclusive U.S. strategic partnership with Israel Aerospace Industries, IAI (Israel's largest defense company), to Americanize, manufacture, integrate and market IAI's HARPY, HAROP and Mini HARPY loitering munition systems to the U.S. @DeptofWar. Exclusive U.S. rights to the most battle-proven loitering munitions on the planet.
Before I get into the scale of the opportunity, let me make something clear about what these systems actually are, because the word "loitering munition" has been diluted by the FPV drone conversation. HARPY, HAROP and Mini HARPY are not $2k commodity FPV drones or Shahed knockoffs. They are not kamikaze quadcopters. A complete system includes the munitions, ground-based launcher systems that resemble 40-foot shipping containers, and command and control infrastructure, typically bundled with support and training as part of the overall contract. These are serious, complex weapons systems in an entirely different category. And they address a capability the U.S. military does not currently have.
Today the DoW relies heavily on missiles for suppressing enemy air defenses, weapons that require a radar to be actively emitting at the moment of launch. An adversary who knows that simply turns their radar off, waits for the missile to pass and turns it back on. It is a well-understood countermeasure. HARPY was purpose-built to defeat it. It launches, flies to a designated area and orbits autonomously for hours, searching for radar emissions. The moment a radar comes up, even briefly, even intermittently, it kills it. No operator needed at the point of engagement. It waits as long as it takes. That persistent autonomous anti-radiation capability does not exist in the U.S. loitering munition inventory. Mini HARPY adds an EO/IR seeker to the same platform, giving brigade and Marine commanders organic SEAD/DEAD capability they have never had at that echelon. HAROP handles long-range ISR-strike with man-in-the-loop guidance, up to 1,000 km range and 9 hours of endurance.
IAI did not enter this market. They created it over 40 years ago when they combined a missile and a UAV, when nobody understood what that even meant. Every company raising hundreds of millions today to develop loitering munitions is working in a category IAI created. IAI systems have been combat-proven and upgraded across real conflicts for decades. Not demo-proven. Not PowerPoint-proven. Combat-proven.
Now let me put the opportunity in context with a real data point:
Estonia, a NATO country with a population of 1.4 million and a total defense budget of roughly $1.4 billion, paid over $100 million for IAI loitering munitions in 2023. Their defense minister called it one of the most expensive defense procurements in the country's history. They have since reportedly launched a follow-on tender, reportedly worth approximately $400 million. For context, Estonia's entire defense budget is less than what the U.S. spends in a single day. Now, PDYN holds exclusive U.S. rights to bring a capability into those procurement conversations that the DoW does not currently have. The numbers have the potential to be very very very large. Like several orders of magnitutude.
And here is how they got here: No hundreds of millions spent developing something from scratch that may or may not work. No years of development risk with an uncertain outcome. No massive dilution of shareholders to fund it. IAI gets a standard industry royalty. $PDYN paid nothing upfront. What IAI came looking for was patented swarming autonomy software, prime contractor-grade aerospace engineering and certified U.S. manufacturing already serving F-35, F-16, Tomahawk and Harpoon programs. $PDYN had all three. IAI evaluated the market and chose them. That is not nothing.
One more piece that I think the market will eventually appreciate. As part of the Americanization process, $PDYN expects the DoW to want their SwarmOS software integrated into these platforms. SwarmOS enables heterogeneous platforms from different manufacturers to collaborate autonomously in real time, sharing sensor data, operating in denied and degraded comms environments where other systems break down. One operator managing multiple platform types simultaneously. When you layer that onto IAI's combat-proven hardware you get something that does not exist anywhere else in the world.
I have been around this company long enough to understand what they have been building toward. A vertically integrated defense company with patented autonomy software, in-house aerospace engineering, certified domestic manufacturing and now exclusive U.S. rights to the world's most battle-tested loitering munitions. All assembled without paying defense tech multiples or diluting shareholders to get there.
I hope today is the day the market starts to understand what $PDYN actually is building. If you follow #defensetech #autonomy #loiteringmunitions #AI #robotics #drones #CUAS you should be following $PDYN.
