In 1808, John Colter was stripped naked by the Blackfeet and told to run for his life.
Colter had already lived a hard life by then. He went west with Lewis and Clark, and when the expedition headed home in 1806, he asked to stay behind and trap. He spent that winter alone in country no white man had ever seen. He wandered through what is now Yellowstone and came back talking about boiling mud and water that shot out of the ground. People laughed at him. They called it Colter's Hell.
In the fall of 1808, Colter and another trapper named John Potts were paddling up the Jefferson River in Montana when hundreds of Blackfeet warriors appeared on the bank. Colter surrendered. Potts grabbed his rifle, shot one of the warriors, and was killed on the spot.
The Blackfeet took Colter's clothes and his moccasins. They talked it over. Then one of the chiefs walked him out onto the open prairie, pointed, and told him to go.
It was a race, and the prize was his life.
Colter ran barefoot across ground covered in prickly pear cactus. Behind him, young warriors with spears came pouring out after him. He ran so hard that blood came out of his nose and ran down his chest. After a few miles he looked back. Every warrior had fallen behind except one.
Colter stopped and turned around. The warrior lunged at him with his spear, stumbled, and fell. Colter grabbed the spear and killed him with it.
Then he kept running.
He made it to the Madison River and dove in. Depending on who told the story later, he hid under a pile of driftwood or inside a beaver lodge, with only his face above the water. He heard the Blackfeet searching the riverbank above him for hours. When night came, he slipped out and kept moving.
He had no clothes, no food, no gun, and no shoes. His feet were full of cactus spines. He was about 200 miles from Manuel Lisa's trading post on the Yellowstone.
He walked there. It took him around 11 days. He ate roots and bark along the way.
When he finally staggered into the fort, the men there didn't recognize him.
And here's the part that tells you who John Colter was. After all that, he went right back into Blackfeet country to trap again. It took a couple more close calls before he finally gave it up, went home to Missouri, got married, and died on a farm a few years later.
In France in 1940, four teenage boys entered a hole in the woods near Lascaux whilst WW2 raged.
But what they found changed history.
Their dog, Robot, had drawn his attention to the opening beneath an uprooted tree.
But when the boys widened it and descended with a homemade lamp, they found themselves in what would become known as the Sistine Chapel of prehistory.
Hundreds of painted aurochs, horses and stags swept across the walls and ceilings. Some were more than five metres long, created using shading, overlapping and techniques for depicting depth thousands of years before recorded art history.
The paintings were at least 17,000 years old. Hidden in darkness, their mineral colours had survived with extraordinary intensity.
One of the boys, Jacques Marsal, was so transformed by the discovery that he became a guide and later the cave’s official guardian, remaining devoted to Lascaux for the rest of his life.
Some doors only open once. According to legend, a dog found this one.
Close call for the drone cam!
I wonder if this was precisely planned to be just outside of the possible range of the TVC corrections, or if they just got lucky?
The American pilot of a U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle that was shot down over Iran in April, requiring a high-risk rescue mission by special forces, described a shocking sight before ejecting from his aircraft: multiple Iranian drones hovering in the air, moving as one, in a formation that resembled a jellyfish, four sources familiar with the matter have told CNN.
“Multiple drones interconnected and moving as one with smaller drones below the bigger drones like legs,” one of the sources familiar with the pilot’s witness account told CNN. “Real alien sh*t.” Another source said that the pilot described witnessing a “minefield of drones” in the air prior to being downed over Iran. The pilot’s account immediately set off a firestorm of debate that has yet to be resolved within the U.S. Intelligence Community.
Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.

Steven Spielberg and Close Encounters of the Third Kind
new original UFO history documentary
This documentary covers the early life and career of Steven Spielberg leading up to his first major UFO film Close Encounters of the Third Kind, released in 1977. It covers how Spielberg’s lifelong fascination with UFOs and with film making would ultimately lead to his seminal UFO film.
It also covers J Allen Hynek who was the scientific advisor to the Air Force’s UFO investigation Project Blue Book in the 1950s and 1960s. Hynek would eventually leave Project Blue Book accusing the Air Force of covering up the reality of the UFO phenomenon. Hynek would later be an advisor to Spielberg and would greatly influence Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
This video also goes scene by scene with Close Encounters illustrating real world events and easter eggs the film draws on.
