@TVietor08 I think they have made a decision that they all don’t care but get paid anyway, and will therefore not do anything to affect anything for the rest of time in order to keep the money tap open forever. They never cared about the job in the first place.
@dieworkwear@internetuser506@thereallorilove His suit looks rumpled, like he slept in it, and isn’t buttoned. And doesn’t fit right. And he is a massive pile of rotten cottage cheese. And his tie is too long.
I'm sure the same people outraged about innocent people being killed in broad daylight in New York last week will be equally outraged this week.
Right?
@dieworkwear The one that actually fits. Dude on the left cannot seem to figure out how to buy the correct size. But he is also a demon, so that might factor in.
@GregTSargent But then talk of civility or whatever will dominate the news cycle and senior Dems will take her out to lunch to show they are nonpartisan good sports
The only @nbcsnl cast member that can rightfully play Matt Gaetz is Colin Jost @SNLUpdate, right? It would be wrong to deny such perfect comedic destiny.
Could not agree more with @AJentleson here:
“In politics, winning elections is the moral imperative. You go into this business to change people’s lives for the better. That means changing policy, and to change policy you have to win.
Those who would rather lose elections so that they can feel better about themselves leave the real suffering to the people they claim to fight for. No one wins when we lose. It is time to start winning again.”
Attorney General Matt Gaetz's "not involved in sex trafficking" T-shirt has a lot of people at his confirmation hearing asking questions already answered by his shirt.
@ask_aubry “If only we were nicer to the rapists” is akin to the “if only we were nicer to the nazis” argument for why the left isn’t winning right now. I think we need to keep not inviting either group into the conversation, so they will always know they are wrong.
Dems should run candidates in every race, in every district. This bullshit about where we can win is a construct based on faulty data from like 20 years ago. You can’t win if you don’t play, and deciding you’ve already lost without even trying is just so stupid.
Being frank, the seats just aren’t there for Ds to take the Senate in 2026. But they weren’t there for them in 2006 shortly after the 2004 elections, nor were they there in 2018 for 2020. Things change.
Dems could have had a primary that pushed Trump’s record into the media every day for a year+.
Instead, we protected the ego of an unpopular 82 year old who was incapable of doing any messaging himself.
When we raised concerns, they gave us the finger. You should be mad.
Biden's economic theory was that you can rapidly increase the wages of the poorest workers and the ensuing inflation could be mitigated with a soft landing. This proved correct, and voters hated it so much that no one will ever try it again.
Sherrod Brown was an old school labor rights Democrat and he lost decisively to a car dealership owner who had to settle several wage theft lawsuits before running for office. This election was not about working class discontent.
@kenklippenstein Maybe they just meant that treating the working class as a monolith is what got us here in the first place and white working class men like candidates that will throw everyone else under the bus, so how does one appeal to both groups at the same time?
Warren wants no sleep til Jan. 3: "Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer must use every minute of the end-of-year legislative session to confirm federal judges and key regulators—none of whom can be removed by the next President" https://t.co/rCunJuO1PF
