I'm just going to say that it's reeeeeeally convenient that a disease that kept the world indoors and boosted Animal Crossing numbers could have been started by Tom Nook himself

@AirCanada Hi, I have an upcoming flight on Dec 27th. Both my passport and driver's licenses are up for renewal and I'm worried they won't arrive in time. I have my birth certificate and BC interim license, is this sufficient? Your website isn't clear on this.
@PassportCan Hi, my ppt application went in last month and I also just renewed my driver's license. I fly within Canada on Dec 27 and realized I have no photo ID for Air Canada. If I go to a passport centre to expidite, what ID will I need? I have a temp license but no photo now
@AirCanada hey! My wife left her phone on a plane we arrived at YVR on this evening. Is there anyone we can directly reach with Air Can at the airport to try to find it from lost and found?
Here's how a close friend who is a brilliant scientist reacted to this news: "I see people in the streets, going about their lives, and I think 'they don't know how the world just changed.'"
Has there ever been a bigger, more impactful data drop in the history of biology?
@sokrypton@klausenhauser@zarivach@minkbaek @DeepMind Wow! Impressive! Only thing is the catalytic N1-proline, but suppose it's easy to break the chain and relax once you have the model.
@CaraSantaMaria I have a wtw suggestion: ligand. Mostly because it means kind of opposite things in chemistry vs. biology, which has led to many confusing exchanges in my biochemistry career.
Here's the work @ichaydon and I worked on at @UWproteindesign in collaboration with the Hilvert group and @CathleenZeymer lab. We think this is an important step to generate artificial enzymes completely from scratch. With metals rarely used in biology!

So great to be able to work with such a great team and to finally share this work!
The teams at @UWproteindesign and @CathleenZeymer's group continue to work hard toward the development of fully synthetic enzymes.
Glad to be part of one important step along the way.

My graduate research is out today! We created a protein that binds rare earth metals w high affinity. It's a new way for the living & non-living worlds to interact :)
