Next.js will ensure the script will only load once, even if a user navigates between multiple routes in the same layout.

Just to confirm, if I set maxDuration to 60s and the function runs, makes a database call, and sends a response in approximately 40s, the function will terminate after 40s, and I won't be charged for the remaining 20s, correct?
