@HannahDCox If she had said "you are not someone I would JUST hookup with or me Fwb with, but someone I wanna marry" It probably would have been received better. But the way she worded it makes it sound like she isn't physically attracted to him at all and is with him for other reasons.
@StonedStarWars I watched every episode and gave it chance after chance. I understood it just fine. It's not good. The writing is bad, and the acting is bad (with exception to a few characters). I'm glad you found some enjoyment out of it, but some people are allowed to not like things.
Throughout all of human history, every culture on earth has agreed on the existence of a god or gods. To claim that there is no god is the real extraordinary claim. Since extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence the actual burden of proof falls on the atheist
@Moderatemuch@BSC2009CM@Pastor_Gabe I didn't abandon the analogy, you missed the point.
Just as it's not reasonable for me to assume a baby built a shed, it's unreasonable to assume a baby has the cognitive capabilities to act in obedience out of faith.
@Moderatemuch@BSC2009CM@Pastor_Gabe I'm actually not. You are the one making the absolute statement that households = babies with no evidence other than an assumption. I was simply pointing out the possibility that these households had children that had grown past infancy. I don't know their household dynamics.
@Moderatemuch@BSC2009CM@Pastor_Gabe I never said Faith was earned. Faith is granted by God but you still must choose to follow and obey him. You must choose to believe in him and act in obedience. Baptism is an act of obedience done in faith. How can an infant act in faith if he can't make his own decisions yet?
@Moderatemuch@BSC2009CM@Pastor_Gabe 3) Since every example of someone getting baptized in the new testament is someone responding in faith to hearing the gospel, then it is not reasonable to assume that an Infant (who is incapable of making his own decisions) would be baptized as well.
@Moderatemuch@BSC2009CM@Pastor_Gabe 2) Another example would be if I threw a party, and at the party said "I bought food for everyone" You wouldn't think I bought food for every human being on earth, that would not be reasonable. But if I say I love everyone it would be pretty reasonable to assume I mean all people
@Moderatemuch@BSC2009CM@Pastor_Gabe 4) How can an infant, who is incapable of consent, and unable to understand complex issues of morality, able to put their faith and trust in the saving Work of Jesus and then act in obedience to be baptized?
@Moderatemuch@BSC2009CM@Pastor_Gabe 3) You're forgetting an important verse in the narrative for Acts 16. You missed verse 31 where it says that they were told to believe. And we can see in the context that them getting baptized was a response to what they heard. Or an act of faith. Faith must come before baptism.
