This is a traditional way of staging protests by taking out a rally with mashals in hands. It happened in the night hours of 8 September 2024. I can see Meitei women hitting the streets. The Meira Paibis have been at the forefront of the Manipuri movement. Rare is a sight of womenfolk from a community protesting, fighting and taking charge of and leading a movement from the front. Manipur is passing sleepless nights. Will GoI wake up to Manipur's reality and safeguard its integrity against Church-backed Kuki terrorism? Manipur seeks peace. Absolute peace!
