Recently I have been waking up in the morning with more anxiety than normal so I have been praying Jesus prayer from Gethsemene. Many days I can barely make it through the first half without my mind spinning off into a thought. So I start again and keep praying.

Sometimes I fall asleep and realize I'm more like the disciples than Jesus.

I'm so grateful Jesus didn't just leave us this prayer as an example to follow and fail at. But He prayed this prayer in our place. For us. On behalf of us. So the cup would be taken from us.

I'm also thankful we can pray this same prayer too and we can pray it as many times as we need too in our anxiety-ridden mornings.
