@sarojpathi My limited point is that there was space for Parliament to challenge the PM, if in fact he did not command the confidence of Parliament. Parliament chose not to challenge that.
Article 43(4) of the Constitution:
"The President shall appoint as Prime Minister the Member of Parliament, who, in the President's opinion, is most likely to command the confidence of Parliament."
