@ShaneClaiborne Slightly out of context as the foreigner was meant to assimilate with the culture. Why don’t you quote what the OT says about those who didn’t assimilate? I do completely agree that we need to look after the refugee but don’t quote this scripture to try and prove it
If you don’t consistently expose your mind to biblical truth & let it shock you, you’ll settle for a watered down, conventional kind of Christianity which gets increasingly shaped by current culture. Watch out!
Jesus frequently said, “You’ve heard it said..but I say to you!”
🚨 For the first time since records began, the UK is no longer classified as an “Open” country in a leading global ranking of freedom of expression.
This latest drop continues a pattern of decline since 2014, across indicators including media freedom, internet censorship, academic freedom, freedom of assembly, and the public’s ability to access information and criticise those in power. It now places the UK in a second tier alongside Colombia, Nigeria, Romania, and South Africa.
In a country often hailed as the birthplace of Parliamentary democracy, this downgrade carries undeniable symbolic weight.

@ShaneClaiborne Yes, absolutely, but the context is also a degree of assimilation for the foreigner or, under the OT there were extreme consequences. So love the immigrant but the under lying thought is that they assimilated
@TaylorRMarshall All Christians are vicars of Christ, all believers are part of a royal priesthood, ambassadors of Christ, joint heirs with Christ, seated with Christ in heavenly places.
