@DanielAndrewsMP Excellent news - we will all share in grief, loss and disbelief, equally we will send a powerful message that love and kindness prevail - Friday will be a powerful and sad day
Better than great news-Sisto's family have accepted the Andrew's Government offer for a State funeral.Friday will be huge! Please turn up! For Sisto, his family, friends, customers and colleagues and to stand firm, stand united, stand as a family - for the values of 'love & freedom'
Sisto Malaspina was a Victorian icon, known and loved by us all. I spoke to his family again this morning, and they have accepted my offer of a State Funeral next week, with more details to come. Until then, our love and thoughts remain with Sisto's family.
HORRIBLE - Australians need to get to the bottom of this - Nat, State Govt (The Andrews Govt)/Fed police/terrorists family, friends, community ALL need to take a seriously hard look and share - WHERE ? WHY ? was this un-detected!
$36.2 mil from a Liberal National Govt to make the StKilda Triangle the public open space that it deserves to be. No shops, no stores, just a park for the people.
@incidentAlertMe ... to continue, this terrorists family, friends, community are equally responsible - WE'VE LOST A KIND SOLE and we need to know WHY and they need to ask hard questions of themselves and share it ?
@incidentAlertMe YES, for his family & legacy, for his significant contribution to help MAKE Melbourne, to politicise the unfairness of his death, to lay question as to why this terrorist slipped through the net - clearly the Andrews Govt/Fed Police and National Govt need to have a hard look!
No question quite brilliant of China BUT could they have achieved it and could they achieve it also as a more democratic society ? ... Japan ... Singapore post WW2 https://t.co/TYwzomFjrK
In 1978, when China started to reform its failing communist economy, its GDP per person stood at $1,583 (French levels in the early 1830s). By 2016, it rose to $12,320 (the French level in 1964). China grew as much in 38 years, as France did in 130 years. https://t.co/tiQY2PLxYz
More Tory MPs now support votes for 16yr olds. By my count, Govn now doesn’t have a majority to stop it. Choice: lose in Commons, 16yr olds get vote & Tories lose even more support of young people; or back votes at 16 & get some credit for major social reform. Hmmm. Tough one.
Do you remember this storm? 35 years ago today on February 8th, 1983, a massive dust storm advanced on Melbourne.
Hitting the city at 3pm, visibility dropped to around 100m as the storm dumped approximately 1,000 tonnes of topsoil on the city.
