On the auspicious day of the Dhwajarohan ceremony at the Ram Lalla Temple, the designer of Ram Lalla’s sacred attire recalls how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s thoughtful guidance shaped the divine poshak.

He remembers how, during a moment of uncertainty and responsibility, PM Modi became their source of clarity. “When you are surrounded by darkness and find even a small ray of light, hope awakens. For us, that light was the Prime Minister’s guidance,” he shares.

PM Modi had explained that Ram Lalla's attire should carry both innocence and royal grace. He also emphasised that India’s cultural and traditional identity must be woven into every part of the ensemble.

"For nearly six hundred days, the team created a new design and a new textile each day, drawing from India’s vast heritage. Karnataka silk for the dhoti, Chanderi from Madhya Pradesh for the patuka, Eri silk from Assam, and textiles from Odisha all came together in a beautiful blend of devotion and craftsmanship," he adds.

And today, as the sacred flag rises high at the Ram Lalla Temple, this journey becomes even more meaningful. The divine attire stands as a tribute to India’s heritage, the dedication of the artisans, and the guidance and inspiration provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
