Modi govt is tirelessly working for cyber secure Bharat.

Mule accounts are big hurdles in curbing cyber crimes. Today, the I4C under MHA signed an MoU with Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH) unleashing the power of Artificial Intelligence to combat cyber fraud. The move will swiftly detect and cull hidden mule accounts by feeding the data from the I4C's Suspect Registry to the AI-driven fraud detection system and serve the citizens as their next gen shield against cyber crime.

The banking sector should adopt the mule hunter software built by the Govt. of India and RBI and sanitise their systems.

Two interesting insights I heard from a meeting with a large lender (NBFC)

1. If a user completes their loan application process in under 5 minutes, there is a high chance that the customer might default

2. If a user has a gaming app installed on their device, or has made several transactions on gaming apps the lender automatically marks the customer as 'risky'

Lending is a game of risk management.
