An opposition Member of Parliament in Sri Lanka has tabled a motion urging the government to make a humanitarian appeal regarding the detention of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Ajith P. Perera, a lawmaker from the main opposition, submitted the adjournment motion in Parliament, citing concerns about Mr Khan’s health and wellbeing while in custody.
The motion refers to what it describes as credible reports raising humanitarian concerns and calls on the Sri Lankan government to engage the authorities in Pakistan through diplomatic and parliamentary channels.
Sunil Gavaskar, Michael Atherton, Ian Chappell and Clive Lloyd are among 14 former international captains that have written a letter to Pakistan's prime minister expressing concern for the health of Imran Khan

BUT here is my question: why haven’t cricketers/sportspersons in Pakistan and around the world spoken out loudly in one voice for Imran’s safety?
