@shari_a_morgan I am a visual learner as a creative at heart, and an art teacher! I am constantly incorporating videos and clips simply from YouTube in my SmartNotebooks for art vocabulary and techniques. @ScratchGarden is great for elementary levels!!!! Check it out! #wuedt6020
@Mgray0012 Ohh! SMARTlabs... I’ll need to look into this! I’m an only SMARTboard dominant classroom- with little to no access to iPads or chrome books. Thanks for the resource! #wuetd6020
As someone that doesn't have a lot of technology accessible for my classes, but knowing most of utilize SMARTboards, and I am inspired by Google Apps, what are you using? This could become a great list of potential resources for us all!

@kderitiswilmu I love the idea of using google slides!! And I agree, I think Google slides is an easy way to incorporate peer collaboration and technology.
@CanfieldBlaise For me and the lack of technology I only get to utilize the Smart package you mentioned- but incorporating videos and different clips or resources seems to change it up for my students in art to get them engaged or activated for the lesson. Still checking out Jamboards #wuedt6020
@kderitiswilmu I think technology is the basis of creating a 'flipped classroom,' videos and tutorials are especially helpful in doing this. The fact that technology also allows for more choice based assignments, student engagement/interest directives, and differentiation. #wuedt6020
@trhoran88 I immediately think of adapted learning, and ideally as an art teacher it could be used for advanced learners to move beyond the class/challenge. Videos and such can be utilized for struggling students(in the theory of my art room- and learning visual art techniques). #wuedt6020
@gbrazill26 I love how you mention social media to be implemented in the classroom. I can definitely see it being a positive thing for secondary students, but at the same time it would have to be highly controlled/monitored. #wuedt6020
As an art teacher it would be great to collaborate or share artwork with other students around the world. And with technology and the internet it is possible, here is two quick resources:

@yulievazquez I definitely feel I need to research and try my hand with AR apps! But the possibilities can be amazing with AR and the classroom- especially for children who have lack of prior knowledge, experience, or resources (as long as they can be provided via classroom/school). #wuedt6020
After looking at the different infographics, and knowing my subject area, visual arts, I think most likely I would like to adopt adaptive learning or augmented reality. It is a toss up for me because I can see artistic benefits for both at the elementary level. #wuedt6020
@LaurenBritting2#gamification is definitely an emerging trend in education, and a positive tool! Some of IRSD's curriculum has been using this idea with things like Dreambox and iReady. Even the math curriculum Bridges, pushes for games- many of them aren't utilizing technology yet. #wuedt6020
@Mgray0012@BrittanySantoni I always worry about incorporating Mobile Learning into the elementary level, but today I was reminded why I should not be. I babysat my 9 year old niece, and she has an iPhone. With outlets like Schoology, etc. it makes this possible. #wuedt6020
