@samselikoff 2/2 like other users have said the word style confused our team and required additional cognitive over head. We had a couple of cases where we ended up adding class= to the components and escape hatch as well.
@samselikoff Opt 1; Based on previous conversations we’ve had, I implemented something very much like opt 2 in our app at work. The dsl for it is not obvious and requires more documentation. Our team has struggled to use the abstraction. 1/2
Today I will give a free year of RubyTapas to any woman in software who wants it. DM me your email. No questions asked so long as your Twitter account seems legit. Especially interested in women just getting started. Tell your mentees, your interns, your code school students.
@samselikoff@ember_map@TailwindApp Awesome! This is super helpful! I just subscribe to @ember_map, looking forward to learning more about this pattern and watching all the great content you guys have created.
@ember_map building out some ui components primitives for an app and I am curious how you guys approach variants in your ui components. Considering passing in a prop to declare the variant or allowing a scoped set of @TailwindApp classes.
As a designer, you’ve got this sleight of hand that you can make someone’s idea look very very real in a very short amount of time.
