I think the Chinese lines that fall flattest with overseas audiences: anything involving Japan.

I notice this most with the China-based white influencer propagandists. Very plausible that they believe America is evil, Chinese industry magical, and so forth. But then they malign Japan and you say to yourself, "Ha! Like you really believe that!"

It just isn't a message that resonates with anyone outside of China except perhaps South Koreans. Chinese animosity towards Japan seems unhinged to both the average person in the west and the average person in the developing world.

Bland food people (Persians, Italians, Americans) can appreciate spicy food, whereas people who grow up eating only spice (largely: East and South Asians) have their taste buds fried by capsaicin/turmeric and cannot appreciate food that relies on ingredient flavors.

I guess its effectiveness depends on how willing they are to actually punish people for likely cheating.
