That's what I meant, flawed or rushed, it represented what the team had ended up with on their hands. There was no malice involved.

We remember some of the greatest games and films for their flaws, as part of the creative process.

Could it have been better? Sure. But it was a double sided sword that let the barbarians into our hobby.

Suddenly everyone got a "voice" on social media and started complaining about anything and everything.

As much as it pains me to say it, the modern BioWare got exactly what they deserved and what EA planned for them.

BioWare founders we stood by for 20 years were chased off by DEI invaders who "tolerate" only their kind. 🇵🇸🏳️‍⚧️

Their legacy is three major flops and a 6 year Mass Effect trailer that never materialized. Everything they/them touch from D&D to Star Wars and BioWare turns to... 💩

Those narcissists gaslight fans and never take responsibility for their blunders. Every problem is external - capitalism, bigotry, Trump.

There isn't a single financially successful WOKE idea or a game. It tells you everything you need to know what gamers love.

Let's not pretend like BioWare's axing happened out of blue. The writing was on the wall.

We are talking about a completely different periods, social environments, and different BioWare. Modern one deserved what was coming to it 100%.

The team who made ME3 was pre "woke" era. While don't disagree with many fans the conclusion of the trilogy could've been better handled (along with community response to fan backlash) it also set the precident...

That kind of studio reaction bending to then legitimate criticism also opened the floodgates for tourists to walk in and demand their list of changes.

None of it was good for us fans, or the industry.

@GeraltofGoonia FF1-6 snob here. So far it’s fucking dope. It’s not groundbreaking but a solid return to simple escapist fun.

Bravely Default amd Octopath wore its skin… now we have proper turn based Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy: Resonance
2 hours in on Switch...

✔️ Brilliant Octopath diorama styled 2D/3D graphics lend perfectly in this "dream come true" scenario

✔️ Backgrounds are detailed, character sprites are nice and large, with detailed animated acting, Akihiko Yoshida's inspired portrait art direction is sublime

✔️ Combat is fast and satisfying, with punchy sound effects and classic menu system but modern UI

✔️ The story is your traditional, I'd say typical Final Fantasy I-VI fare, the writing is direct and to the point, NO bloated lore dumps

❌ I hope they patch dungeon map and menu navigation tips to have permanently OFF, it's annoying to have them come back after each battle
