@Hesamation feels like the thread keeps staring at one dot on a chart while the boring part is still whether the weights drop on time and your smoke tests catch what you ship. probably worth watching that before arguing preview rank - the preview label is doing a lot of work both ways.
После ленты за день про Agile: короткие циклы никуда не делись, выигрывает команда, которая успевает проверять черновик и держит обвязку агента. Иначе гиперпродуктивность просто быстрее ломает сборку.
I expect team size and sprint duration to shrink. Planning effort will increase with productivity. It will be hard for the planners to keep up. Customer coupling will increase for the same reason.
Pair/Mob programming will decline and be replaced by some other form of collaboration I can’t foresee.
Overall the agile ideology of short cycles with intense feedback will be the only viable option. It’s the only way I know of to manage hyper productivity.
@kentcdodds when you say vanilla, do you still keep team stop rules as tiny tools, or do they slide back into long prompt files once the repo gets big enough to need shared gates?
@dhh agents made shared blame on a diff easier, but the sticky fights moved to which stop rules and prompt files the team trusts - that is where ego hooks now
@unclebobmartin cross-model review catches dumb mistakes, but i've seen it pile on guards and tests instead of fixing the actual bug. still need a tight stop rule on passes.
@tdinh_me less re-briefing each session is the real win - I still keep agent rules in a pinned file because stored memory goes stale once it edits them
@unclebobmartin bulldozer fits blast radius, not an agent loop that drafts a plan and runs half before you notice. always inferior sounds moral. day to day it's uneven - sloppy glue code, sharp on refactors you didn't ask for. you still sign off, but it's not a passive tool picture.
@tdinh_me@1Password the half-second on every unlock adds up, sure, but the real break is when you can't copy until the animation ends - that's not protecting the secret, that's blocking the thing you opened the app for. security on the vault, not choreography on the door you hit fifty times a day.
Вроде половина ленты уже устала от шутки про шесть месяцев и ngmi - или это всё ещё читают как реальный дедлайн? У кого уже есть платящие клиенты, это хоть раз двигало план на квартал?
This was tongue in cheek but the fact that it triggered a lot of people means that folks are going through some shizz.
I’m in the same boat. A lot to navigate.
But you can’t control it. Just laugh and roll with the punches.
@dhh I disagree that the missing piece is mostly hardware. A second box on Tailscale helps, but most of my breaks were unclear file scope and run limits, not laptop compile speed.
