"For years, I endured abuse in silence — as a child, as a wife, in front of my children.
Bruises marked my body, fear marked my soul.
But I chose to fight back.
I left, I spoke up, I filed FIRs, and I refused to stay silent.
Today, I help others find their voice.
This is my story — and the story of every woman who dared to fight."

An 18-month-old Palestinian toddler was tortured and abused by occupation forces in the Gaza Strip over the weekend, to extract a false confession from his father who was detained.
The young child, Karim Abu Nassar, was taken away from his father, Osama, after Israeli soldiers interrogated his parents as the pair were out to buy necessities in the vicinity of the Al-Maghazi camp, in central Gaza.
Israeli soldiers extinguished cigarettes on the Palestinian toddler, pricked him, and forced metal nails into his skin during an hours-long ordeal.
Multiple eyewitnesses said the two were caught in a crossfire near the camp, with Abu Nassar forced to leave his son on the ground and approach a military checkpoint, where he was interrogated and stripped of his clothes.
Occupation forces then detained the toddler before subjecting him to physical abuse in front of his father to force a confession.
The Palestinian baby was then handed over to his family by the International Red Cross at the Al-Maghazi market following the 10-hour-long torment.
His father remains in detention. A medical report, confirmed the toddler’s injuries.
Images shared by news outlets showed visible, dark, circular marks, largely understood to be caused by the cigarettes, on the child’s legs.

🚨“My fetus and my babies are shivering from the cold,” said Maryam Asleeh, a pregnant Palestinian woman in her final month, after rainwater flooded the tent where she, her husband, and their young children were sleeping in Khan Younis.
She described how she woke the children and carried them through the storm to a neighbor’s shelter, only to return and find water pouring in from every side. Buckets, trenches, and sand barriers did nothing; the flood swallowed their blankets, mattresses, and what little they had left. “We are drowning in water… sitting here shaking from the cold,” she said, raising her hands in prayer as the storm left her family with nothing but soaked clothes and fear.
The Israeli occupation continues to block basic life essentials from entering the Strip. Only around 20,000 tents have entered since the announcement of the ceasefire, while UN OCHA reports that almost 1.5 million are in urgent need of shelter.

Faith is sacred. Compassion is sacred. And yes, friendship and silaturrahim are sacred too. Sometimes the truest devotion is the discipline to let the unspoken remain unspoken.
