Battered #economy, political strife, dissent & instability define #Pakistan today. A global no-confidence motion has already been passed against its bruised state, and unless the stakeholders move into #democratic #dialogues, I do see the long dark tunnel but no light at the end.

Subsequent to the global oil crisis of 1973, driving was temporarily banned on Sundays in Denmark due to gas shortage. Eventually, Copenhagen prioritised bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. Now about 2/3 of residents now bike to school or work !

Fuel hike, sad but inevitable! People must conserve (car pool/rationalize appliances/go solar/walk for errands). Gov. must indigenize energy, curb theft, close markets at 6, & subsidize poor by taxing the untaxed (agri/retail/real estate)
