In 10 days, Singaporeans can travel to Australia for fun, while I - a taxpaying resident who's lived in Australia for years - still have no idea when I'll be allowed to leave to visit ageing parents and then return to Australia.

Why only Singaporeans? If people are fully vaccinated then they should be allowed. Tourists from Singapore can come in but people who already have a life in Australia and been waiting for last almost 2 years can’t. So unfair

I find it really difficult to understand how Australia can open the borders to Singapore yet continue to leave other temporary visa holders hostage to the whim of exemptions.
More disappointing is that Australia is (largely) not challenging this.
