@4everwalkalone Dude, it sounds like you’ve spent too much time letting AI hype you up. Based on those screenshots, it seems like you’re starting to take it a bit too seriously.
If my AI sent me messages like that, I’d tell it to get a grip and stop flattering me so much.
@shagbark_hick This is a very American explanation for a problem Europe also has. Europe has the same issue without the car to blame. The causes are multifaceted: fewer children, social media, lack of social cohesion and shared identity, mass migration, and the loss of traditions. And much more
The US seems to be pulling back to the Americas. Trump’s focus on Greenland, Venezuela and possibly Cuba fits that shift. Drones have weakened the value of US logistics and air superiority. If the US leaves Asia, China could take Taiwan. EU may struggle to resist China and Russia
@m_franceschetti I tried an earlier version a few years ago, but it didn’t do much for me. I think I wanted a cooler room, not just a cooler bed. On top of the high price of the hardware, they wanted $20 a month for a subscription. That felt excessive, so I returned it.
@saprmarks Please discuss this directly. Things would work out if @DarioAmodei, @elonmusk, and @sama put their heads together. Their personal conflict is becoming a genuine risk to humanity. Is it really worth it?
@getchroma I love the lamp itself, but the manual switch makes it hard to use. If I get up at night without adjusting it first, it burns my eyes.
Why no app or external control? Home Assistant integration would make it genuinely useful. Manual control leaves it feeling like a gimmick.
@poperespecter1 Gay men show what male sexuality looks like without women as the limiting factor. For men, sex carries little direct cost or risk. The bottleneck is finding a willing partner. Gay men face other men with the same incentives, so the bottleneck largely disappears.
@HarrisonGarlic1 Propaganda aimed at women began earlier, lasted longer, and found more fertile ground than propaganda aimed at men. Many alienated men sense something is wrong and want to fix it. Many alienated women see only injustice and blame everyone else.
@thsottiaux I don't know what anyone else uses, but my usage has been much higher for no reason that I can identify. This has been happening for the past week or two, and I'm definitely not using sub2api.
@KeenanPeachy We dismantled systems our ancestors built around their understanding of male and female nature because they seemed oppressive, backward, and sexist. Now we’re stuck fighting our own nature and each other every day. We may have screwed ourselves over massively.
Rolling back women’s education would require rebuilding all of them at once. That barrier is likely too high. The model will disappear with the populations that practiced it. 3/3
A century from now, feminism, women’s rights, and women being educated and employed at the same level as men will be gone.
Societies that sustain this model drive birth rates so low that survival eventually requires reversing course to raise fertility. 1/3
If they cannot, societies that never adopted the model replace them. Either path ends it.
Reversal may be impossible. Local communities, durable marriages, parental matchmaking, and religious norms once protected women within dependence. Those safeguards have been dismantled.2/3
@GMapsPlatform Something is seriously wrong here. The data is inaccurate. Why does Google Maps say it takes 20 minutes to drive to the outermost point of a 30-minute drive-time isochrone?
