@geographyjim@RichardHebditch Also if you can't take a risk politically in Lewisham Borough, with its notable lack of any opposition, where can you🙄? To note, I'm a Crofton Park resident and voted in favour of the measures.
Been a bit of a labour of love this one. Do take a look at the super plans courtesy of @haworthtompkins & team. You can show some ❤️ by leaving a comment in support of the application if you'd like to see a brand new, multifunctional heritage centre in @NewhamLondon. #canningtown

@AnyaM8_ I disagree on the last point. At least in predominantly urban areas, MPs surgeries are chocker full of people in great housing stress - often not realising there's precious little their MP can do.
@shortthought I would also say from an admittedly London-centric context that a lot of Councils have been pursuing very high calibre designs which have limited options for VE. Understandable politically, but clearly even more challenging to deliver when grant and build costs are 🔺 diverging.
@Victoria_Spratt Unemployment rate seems to be a big positive contextual factor vis-a-vis those periods. Still undoubtedly current rates at ~6% are acutely serious in the same way that 15% were then.
@PeteApps Will your mortgage interest rate inherently rise or is that just contextual in the current time?
Also the indexing + 2% seems quite questionable for an affordable product. Do similar rules apply for other non-social rent affordable products (London Living Rent)?
10. Harness the power of visualization
Prompt: "Guide me through a visualization exercise to help me internalize [topic or skill] and imagine myself successfully applying it in real-life situations."
@TheMurkyDepths I'm loving the "65% unaffordable" line or the well trodden, "impact on x conservation area somewhere" in the entire borough of Southwark.
@Priyalala93 It was challenging but UCL offered flexi for my MSc meaning that you could stretch it over 5 years. Was reassuring to know that if my target of 2 years (whilst full time working) was too hard, I could stretch to 3-4 years. There was some complications with student finance though.
