๐จ side project alert ๐จ
Announcing Muse Gadgets, an open source ESP32 firmware and Linux sdk so that you can make hardware devices that work with Muse.
Grab an API token from https://t.co/Q0dE0cYnCs and point your favorite coding agent at the github repo to build your own peripherals for Muse.
Hear me out.
If you think you missed the train on $META, this is for you.
Here's what I think happens next:
โข Competitors launch Muse alternatives
โข People start questioning Muse's economics
โข AI spend, margins and monetization become the new FUD
โข $META probably gets hated again
That's what I'm waiting for.
If that happens while the thesis stays intact, I'll be looking for my entry.
And if that doesn't happen, oh well, there are always other opportunities.
It will be tough if they launch it worldwide while @Muse only launched to few countries.
We need Muse available worldwide asap!! @finkd@alexandr_wang

๐จ "o" Update
OpenAI's always-on agent, their answer to Grok Bot/Muse, spotted in https://t.co/EjMQY3BRfn's code
Coming to all Pro tiers, not locked to Pro Max โข Codex Plus excluded โข Fast Mode confirmed โข Could launch as early as Thursday?
Considering $AAPL as a threat, one of the things we need from $META now in @Muse is network. We need some form of lock-in and stickiness so users think twice before switching. Its like social platforms where you move to where your friends are at, and you don't move away easily.
Agentic commerce is for sure a thing, I've been using agents to explore/go through reviews/compare price, and get me the best product for my everyday stuff ๐คทโโ๏ธ
$AMZN
Amazon will have to change directions quickly.
I can already see the Meta representatives talking to Amazon "Sure, if you want to block us, that's unfortinate, we'll just send all our customers to Walmart and shopify"
Amazon does not win in that situation, and agentic commerce is not going away.
we built muse from scratch, but it is definitely heavily inspired as a product by openclaw. After I used openclaw in january I bought hundreds of mac minis for the MSL team and lots of us fell in love with using openclaw (and other personal agents). @steipete is a genius and his harness was pioneering from the jump. I think a lot of people were inspired by it. our goal with muse was to build something like openclaw that we could make safe and secure and easy to use and scale to billions of people.
Why do you think $META needs this?
My take, its a commerce move. They need a good enough model so they can identify every single freaking thing in images/videos that can & will be linked/promoted for people to click and seamlessly purchase.
Its freaking ads everywhere.
Metaโs Segment Anything Model (SAM) 3.1 is now available on Meta Model API, giving developers a fast and lightweight model for detection, segmentation and tracking in a single call on inference tuned for SAM 3.1's architecture.
Use a short phrase to find objects in images and video. One API call returns detections, pixel-precise segmentation masks, and identity-preserving video tracks.

Canโt imagine the amount of agents circulating the web as more people have access to consumer agents.
I have a feeling itโs coming very very soon, and people wonโt even notice itโs happening in real-time.
Both exciting and scary at the same time.
$AAPL gotta git good man, macOS27 is filled with bugs and the whole experience is so bad. A lot of the bugs are pretty apparent too and should've been easily caught during QA if you were to ask me. Good list here:

Itโs funny how many people were running for the hills when $META fell to $526 on 7/30. Meta is now trading around $675 less than 2-months later. Donโt say I didnโt warn you that the selloff was ridiculous. While some are taking shots at META and @finkd I believe they will continue to be proven wrong.

Also curious how the client makes the trusted Muse credential UI distinguishable from webpage-controlled UI, so users know which security boundary theyโre typing into.
PS: Still on @Muse waitlist here, canโt wait for widespread release!

Question for @Muse, browser credentials are captured through custom client UI > secure store, then JIT injected into Chromium.
Is that path enforced for all credential entries? During browser takeover, can a user ever type directly into the real webpage? @MattPRD@alexandr_wang
Dude just mentioned that they are struggling to integrate social graphs into @boski .
As Peter Lynch said, you gotta listen to what the competitors are saying, and if this is what @Muse 's competitor is saying, it sounds bullish to $META for me.
I really like how the $META team is trying to listen for what the users want. Some CEOs just choose to build whatever they think would be helpful instead of listening to users.
