Today I and other 79 colleagues from 53 countries successfully graduated from United Nations Geneva Graduate Study Programme #GSP59. It was a great platform to reflect on various developmental challenges and the future of multilateralism. @UNGeneva@UN@UNZimbabwe

What a time to be alive. Mr Chamisa @nelsonchamisa and @daddyhope blocked me when I said you can’t run a political party like a secret society. Fast-forward to today, and they’re fighting over the very thing I warned them about. 😂
I like what Zhemu soda says here. These gatekeepers have stifled innovation.
“The Government is aiming at breaking the practice of self-serving by bodies such as the Law Society of Zimbabwe and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe so that institutions like MSU can absorb more students.”
“The practice is self-serving by lawyers. Government is expanding facilities to break the self-serving practice. There are some restrictions they have put in place. It’s something that must be broken. We cannot have a facility that can absorb 1 000 students taking only 100.”

The painful thing is that after years of diamond mining in Chiadzwa that area is still underdeveloped, poor & ravaged by inequality, poverty & unemployment. Now that lab made diamonds are here to stay, the people of Chiadzwa will just say "we once had diamonds," with zero to show!

Both Govt and investors need to be very careful about WATER is dry, fragile communities like Hwange. Water is the be-all and end-all for such communities where alternative sources are hard to come by. Worse when the villagers have no access to the power for which the water is needed. It amounts to robbing them!!!!
