@skullydude99@Bucky_cm They're not ready to accept what's going on behind the scenes. There's also a few hit indie games this year that are probably partially vibe coded
@rodentblade Just because something is made with AI, it doesn't mean you can replicate it easily. Games take constant iteration and testing. The average person is not spending time doing that even with Claude helping
@PhillipWitz@FratboyMarxist You can't expect stability from a volatile industry like game development. Some companies do their best but there are too many moving parts
@Corvinelle You must be unaware how powerful the flagship LLMs are. Claude in particular has changed software development forever. There is literally no going back.
@DreamigeraJ You're not a game developer lol imagine thinking you even understand the nuances of the development cycle. You're probably just a mindless gaming consumer
@yokailoner@FireMonkey You can't ship something without reviews and Q/A and I'm sure they use a decent version control system so it would be easy to see who did the sabotaging
@Tenacious_Diaz There won't be any New Blood level vibe coded games for a long time. Y'all need to stop bitching so much. Real games will remain at the top
@aftertheflood_@TAYEDONTSTOP@JNavok Well if people are against AI as much as they claim, those games wouldn't get as much exposure. There is already shovelware on Steam yet only the best of the best gets showcased
@Unixwarez Until a vibe coder can create something as dynamic as Ultrakill, real devs will be okay. I have yet to see anything that is truly impactful. Maybe next year though
