@Dr_ASingh I get movement in where I can, like biking to work & taking the stairs. I take fun evening classes 3 days per work week for 1.5hrs (salsa💃 & karate🥋) and do different activities for 2-4 hours on the weekend (lift, hike, or dance). It keeps me sane!

@AbbyBartlett_ Yes! I totally agree. I went from MCB and Parkinson's research in undergrad to molecular engineering and malaria research in grad school. Undergrad research topics don't define the rest of your academic career, but the skills learned certainly can!

I used to be an ‘undergrad research ambassador.’ My top advice: don’t worry if the lab’s focus isn’t exactly what you set out or planned for! It’s good to get some experience and then transition - or maybe discover a new topic you’re just as excited about!
