This is what happens when a government doesn’t listen to its citizens and chooses to go its own way.
📰 As per @thhyderabad@SVadlamoodi report, the Telangana government is considering reducing H-CITI’s proposed 14 flyovers and underpasses to just ONE elevated corridor.
But why stop at one?
Why not shelve the entire flyover project around KBR National Park?
Hyderabadis have reached this stage after:
🔴 Multiple peaceful street protests 🔴 Police detentions 🔴 High Court proceedings 🔴 Supreme Court proceedings 🔴 Repeated appeals for scientific alternatives
And what has Hyderabad lost in the process?
🌳 Thousands of age-old trees in KBR’s Eco-Sensitive Zone.
The one-way traffic system around KBR has now shown what citizens have been saying for years:
Simple, practical traffic solutions were possible all along.
So why was a disastrous project involving thousands of crores of taxpayers’ money pushed around Hyderabad’s last green lung—putting KBR’s existence at risk in the name of solving traffic woes?
@TelanganaCMO@revanth_anumula@GHMCOnline@CommissionrGHMC must answer:
Why flyovers were approved in KBR's eco-sensitive zone❓
Where are the mandatory DPR, EIA, Environmental & Social Impact Assessment, inter-generational impact study, traffic impact studies and cost-benefit analysis❓
Were these studies placed in the public domain before execution❓
Which experts, climate scientists and urban mobility professionals were consulted❓
Why did the so called Tree Protection Committee approve the axing of thousands of trees in KBR’s ESZ without a detailed and transparent public study❓
This is not merely about reducing 14 structures to 1.
It is about accountability, scientific decision-making and the future of Hyderabad.
Citizens are ready to suggest better alternatives.
Will the government finally listen?

If speaking up for Kaziranga and Indigenous rights can cost someone their freedom, what exactly are we protecting & for whom?Pranab Doley must not become another name the system silences.

One gets bail within days despite being caught on camera.
Other languishes in jail for six years without even a trial or hearing.
Same justice system. Very different approach.
Kaziranga is not just a park. It is a lifeline for rhinos, elephants, tigers and entire floodplain ecosystems. Reducing its eco-sensitive buffer from 10 km to 1–3 km could weaken wildlife corridors and invite destructive development #SaveKaziranga@SaveKaziranga@sapna_parmar
How can we chant Vande Mataram while destroying the very motherland it describes? Cutting eco sensitive zone from 10km to 1km leaves our elephants, rhinos, and forests entirely exposed.
