I am so glad #SOTU pledges to increase funding for #opiateusedisorder treatment especially evidence based #MAT and #harmreduction.

But what about “treatments” we need to STOP funding, that are NOT evidence based and may even cause harm, including ⬆️ death and ⬆️ disease?

@sulmoney Epic is a technology that can/is leveraged for better patient care but it is misused by the system - it’s not the technology’s fault the system is broken.

@davideyoungmd @gabrieldane Individual hospital policies and aggregious misunderstanding of hipaa is to blame for this - not the technology. The technology makes information sharing easier IF the institution knows what they are doing (which sadly they often don’t)
