for a long time i said that antisemitism, particularly on the american left, was not as bad as people claimed.
i'd like to just state that i was totally wrong.
i still don't understand it, really. or know what to do about it.
but it is so fucked.
I was ashamed to hear the recent testimony of 3 top university presidents. In my personal opinion, it was one of the most despicable moments in the history of U.S. academia. The 3 Presidents were offered numerous opportunities to condemn racist, antisemitic, hate rhetoric and refused doing so hiding behind calls for “context.” The memories of my father’s parents, Abraham and Rachel Bourla, his brother David and his little sister Graciela, who all died in Auschwitz, came to mind. I was wondering if their deaths would have provided enough “context” to these presidents to condemn the Nazis' antisemitic propaganda.
And because dehumanization of the victims makes it easier to “set your own context” and justify anything, here is a picture of Graciela Bourla, who was exterminated in the concentration camp at the age of 17. Unfortunately, no pictures of my grandparents and uncle survived. I still wonder what they looked like.
Survivors of Hamas captivity are beginning to share their stories. One of them testified he was held hostage and starved by an @UNRWA teacher. That’s not an “allegation”. That’s a survivor testimony, and more testimonies are coming.
While Hamas holds 136 Israeli hostages in Gaza, I can’t share information that could endanger them or identify the survivor. I hope UNRWA treats this more seriously than Hamas’s theft from its stocks and abuse of its civilian facilities for terror activity.
This is how women are treated in Afghanistan.
Where are all the protests and activists decrying this gender-based violence?
Where are all the ‘Pro-Palestinian’
Activists?
1/4🧵Hamas Propaganda Exposed:
Mohammed Nazal was released from Ofer jail in Israel where he was servicing a sentence for terror-related offenses in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages.
Palestinians are alleging he had both his arms broken and smashed with hammers by prison officers while in prison and alleging he did not receive medical attention for 8 days.
Since his release he has appeared wearing casts on both his arms.
However, newly released video shows the Palestinian man leaving the prison with his arms perfectly intact and functional and appearing in good health.
He is seen casually putting his hands in his pocket as he leaves the prison thus discrediting the Hamas narrative that his arms were severely broken.
H/T @YaariCohen
@Pillarblessing@OliLondonTV To make Hamas appear as human and not the cruel terrorists they are. What most don't know is that this kid's dad is still held hostage as well as other people he knows, so he knows he can't disobey and put them (or himself) at risk.
Emily Hand wasn't "lost". She was brutally abducted by the death squads that massacred her neighbors.
She wasn't "found". Hamas knew where she was all along and cynically held her as a hostage.
And Hamas didn't answer your prayers. It answered Israel's military pressure.
An IDF soldier has been assigned to accompany every released child hostage back to Israel.
If a child asks where their mother or father is, the soldiers have been told to say, “I’m sorry sweetie, I don’t know. My job is to bring you to Israel to a safe place where people you know can answer all your questions.”
Some of the children don’t have parents to return to.
In Los Angeles, if this display is distressing, try to envision enduring it in Gaza! Over 80 young girls and women have been held captive by Hamas for the past 47 days, facing sexual, physical, and mental abuse. These heinous crimes persist while women's rights activists remain silent. Where are you? They urgently need your help. Don't stay silent! @unwomen@nationalnow@unitednations
I'm a bisexual female atheist who advocates for liberalism and limited government
My rights would be protected in Israel
I would be murdered by terrorists in Gaza
@nattygirlsus@ZiadElkhalil@dianabuttu Also, those lists are available. These are people who got caught stabbing. And performing other terror attacks. Look it up.
October 7 survivor just told me: “I used to believe in peace, but I don’t anymore. I used to trust Arabs, but I don’t anymore. A guy named Khaleel lived in our village for 30 years. We called him our brother. He slept in our homes. He ended up drawing a map of our homes in the village and gave it to Hamas to slaughter us. How can I trust after this?”
@barbaraslavin1@lrozen We had a ceasefire on Oct. 6th.
Hamas broke it by beheading babies, raping women, murdering over 1,400 civilians and kidnapping 240 people, including babies, toddlers, children, women, elderly, some of them foreigners.
They need to free them all and get them back home. NOW.
This is a horrific image of thousands of Palestinians waiting in line for food around ruins after the government destroyed their homes, killed thousands, and cut them off from all resources.
You might not recognize it because it’s from Syria in 2014 so no marches.
@sentdefender@TikTokPolicy "Content promoting this letter clearly violates our rules on supporting any form of terrorism"
Right. So now they'll also delete and ban Pro Hamas accounts? 🤔
About October 7. Journalist, historian and former war correspondent @wierdduk from Dutch newspaper @telegraaf wrote this comment today after seeing the awful images at the Israeli embassy👇🏽
"I watched the uncensored footage of the terror attack by Hamas on Oct. 7. Footage from the terrorists' gopro's and cellphones, dashcams and security cameras.
This is necessary because October 7 has already disappeared from the media and public eye.
1 have seen a lot in my life, been in wars, but this is another level of horror, comparable only to the atrocities committed by IS and Nazi executioners.
45 minutes of horrific footage of a veritable orgy of slaughter: of killing and burning babies, children, entire families and groups of friends, elderly people. And each time that cry, in triumph: "Allahu Akbar!"
The jubilant terrorists, euphoric as they shoot another child.
Calling their parents, crying with joy: "Mom, I killed ten of them with my own hands! Their blood is still on my hands!"
I will never forget this: two brothers and their father, still in underwear because it is early in the morning, run to a shelter, screaming with fear. A terrorist throws a grenade.
The father dies on the spot; the boys emerge from their hiding place in panic: "Daddy, Daddy!
The terrorists push them into the house. The one boy in shock: "Daddy is dead, I think we are going to die too." His little brother can no longer see with 1 eye: "I can't see anything," he cries. His brother cares for him, then falls to the ground, crying: "God, why am I still alive?", while a terrorist loots the refrigerator.
Where are these little boys now? In Gaza, held hostage, grieving and in agony?
Anyone who says "yes, but ..." deserves a place in the deepest caverns of hell.
Oh yes, NOS was also invited, but the editors did not even respond." He concluded.
Let’s never forget that never again is now. And a responsibility for each of us.
In the meantime some leading European politicians still hesitate to call Hamas a terror organisation. 💔
Remember them.
