@chandnirao_here Beautiful. As agents increasingly become the interface for commerce (discovering, comparing & purchasing), physical stores become more experiential vs. transactional. This shift to agents navigating supply & negotiating across sellers will reshape the role of physical retail.
Lovable just raised $200M at a $1.8B valuation led by Accel.
This all started unexpectedly with me calling my friend at 6AM to go for a walk.
I've never shared this story before: (thread)
Have we become obsessed with tracking? Is the oura ring the first of many cases? From our work lives to our homes and now in our bodies, a reflection of societies’ need to be productive everywhere to a heightened degree, where our bodies can’t just BE.

I’m tired of networking as a recurring pitch that no one cares about. Repeated questions of “what do you do?” only to sus out levels of utility, with a high likelihood that we will forget about each other the next day.
Let’s all be more inviting like the Greeks.
the Greeks have this beautiful concept called philoxenia (love of strangers). a friend and i witnessed this firsthand at a conference and it was the exact opposite of typical conference behaviour.
if you've ever felt completely drained after just a few hours at a conference (and it's not jet lag), it's probably either your brain telling you that performing isn't sustainable or that you're surrounded by people who are performing instead of being.
in our rush to "network efficiently," we've abandoned the very mechanisms that made large-scale human cooperation possible in the first place: the reward circuits that helped our ancestors survive through bonded social relationships. so the energy from genuine philoxenia is your reward system doing exactly what it evolved to do: reinforcing behaviors that help humans thrive together.
one depletes and the other energizes you because it aligns with your deepest evolutionary programming.
there's also solid research tying authenticity to better brain health and resilience. "harnessing authenticity across the lifespan can be protective by promoting resilience" -- see paper below.
so pls stop networking 🙏. instead of calculating people's usefulness, pls just get curious about them. real connection isn’t a stack of LinkedIn requests. and the deepest irony is that this approach actually works better for business outcomes too 🤷♀️
How does #WebSummitVancouver position itself as a truly global event, despite its location in a geographically remote & high-cost destination? What strategies have been enabled to overcome accessibility & affordability challenges while still attracting an international audience?
Is anybody from the US travelling into Vancouver, Canada in the next few days and would be willing to get me 2 Unwell Hydration drinks? I’ll pay the tariffs because honestly my friend and I are sick of Gatorade and we need advanced electrolytes. @callherdaddy@alexandracooper
@naval Well said @naval team is everything. That’s why I’ll talk on, if you’re a founder and hiring, evaluate a person based on their qualifications… and if you would enjoy spending free time with them.
If joining an early stage startup, evaluate team, product, equity, salary, in that order.
If investing in an early stage startup, evaluate team, product, terms, revenues in that order.
Standing in a long line to #vote and I’m reminded of a podcast on mobile voting. In a highly regulated space like this, that might seem out of reach, but with the acceleration of #BlockchainInnovation, verifiable yet anonymous audits are becoming more feasible. @elonmusk
