Republicans told you they were ok with him bragging about sexual assault. That they were ok with him extorting a foreign nation, ok with him enriching himself off of the presidency, ok with him pardoning his buddies, taking national security documents, and showing top secret information to private citizens, ok with him threatening to execute our generals, ok with him siding with Putin, ok with him inciting a deadly attack on our Capitol to stay in power, ok with him being a business fraud, ok with him being an adjudicated rapist and ok with him being a convicted felon.

They’ve told you they’re ok with the pathological lying, the idiocy, the amorality, the vitriol, the violent threats, the racism, the sexism & the xenophobia.

They’ve told you they’re ok with him making fun of people with disabilities, ok with him calling women dogs, ok with him being cruel and ok with him being a bully.

They’ve told you they’re ok with him separating children from their parents, even if it’s forever.

And they’re telling you as we speak, that they’re ok with child sex trafficking. They’re telling you that they are ok with adult men having sex with children.

And those of you who voted for this, who voted for them — those of you they say have now “handed them a mandate” in this election, have told them that you’re ok with all of it too.

So, the question is… are you?

Yet what we have been watching unfold in Gaza at the hands of Israel is the murder of thousands of civilians, including over ten thousand children

All lives matter, Palestinian as well as Israelis, and until Israel treats Palestinian life the way they treat Israeli life, seeking safety, dignity and protection, little will change

We need peace in the middle east, we need a two state solution where Palestinians enjoy the same rights and freedoms as Israelis, as all of us do. Peace is the only path for success and happiness in our lives

What's the point of nine British Prime Ministers standing there in a line on Remembrance Day, when none of them will criticise Israel for its genocide in Gaza?

When I was younger Remembrance Day actually meant something to me. And in recent years, to discover that one of my great grandfathers was in the British Indian Army during WWII, Remembrance Day meant even more to me

But every day that passes where we as a civilised nation dismiss what is happening in Gaza is yet another day insulting the memory of the brave men and women who fought for the rights and freedoms we enjoy today

Humanity has to do better than this, humanity has to call out genocide especially when it is being broadcast on our screens in HD

If there’s one plea I could make ahead of GCSE results day tomorrow, it’s in the way the media and other commentators talk about GCSE grades.
Grades 1-3 are not fails. Us or Xs are. Anyone with a 1-3 HAS GOT A GCSE. And for some of those kiddos, a 1 or a 2 or 3 can be a phenomenal result that they deserve to be proud of. Let’s be a bit more responsible in our language.
