I sold all my Bitcoin
Just realized that it's not backed by anything and has no intrinsic value
Going to buy gold with all of the proceeds
The world always moves from digital back to physical
Dollars are worthless - get rid of them ASAP
We have been brainwashed to believe that they have value so we give away time, effort, and skills for more of them
When Bitcoin's purchasing power falls in terms of US Dollars, it eventually recovers
When the US Dollar's purchasing power falls in terms of Bitcoin, it never recovers
Over time, you will be able to buy less Bitcoin with your Dollars and more Dollars with your Bitcoin
Once you understand this, your view of the world changes
Are ETH Treasuries good for Ethereum?
@VitalikButerin thinks they can be:
“ETH just being an asset that companies can have as part of their treasury is good and valuable… giving people more options is good.”
But he also issues a warning:
“If you woke me up 3 years from now and told me that treasuries led to the downfall of ETH… my guess would be that they turned into an overleveraged game.”
More access to ETH is great—until it becomes a house of cards.
Banks aren’t threatened by Bitcoin’s technology.
They’re threatened by Bitcoin’s psychology.
For so many years, they’ve trained you that saving is pointless.
That debt is wealth.
That inflation is normal.
Bitcoin breaks the conditioning.
Once someone holds an asset that goes UP instead of down, they can’t go back to 1% savings accounts.
The tech is irrelevant.
The awakening is everything.
It took me 4 years to learn why Bitcoin is valuable
In those 4 years, I have become a completely different person
Most importantly, I have lowered my time preference, and this has had an impact on every single aspect of my life
I used to think in seconds, minutes, and hours
Now I think in terms of decades
YAY:
Bitcoin over $117 K a coin. Going to buy one more Bitcoin asap.
It’s never been easier to become rich…. even a millionaire.
Please study, learn, and find out if Bitcoin is your path to becoming a millionaire.
Take care. I love my BITCOINS…. all of them.
You see someone driving a $100,000 car, but you don't see the monthly payments
You see someone going on a $10,000 vacation, but you don't see their credit card statements
You see someone living in a $10,000,000 mansion, but you don't see their 60-to-80-hour work weeks
Don't try to live someone else's life unless you know what's happening in the background - trying to look rich is VERY expensive
Here’s the blueprint: Get a good job, gain experience, increase your salary, keep expenses low and buy assets for a decade before you splurge on expensive liabilities.
If you can do that, building wealth is inevitable
Bought another Bitcoin today. I realize I could be wrong and a sucker. Would not be the first time in my life I was played for a FOOL.
Yet I believe Bitcoin will one day soon….be $1 million a coin. If I am a sucker…. I’d rather be a sucker than a LOSER if Bitcoin does go to $1 million.
Nobody likes being suckers or losers…. Yet that is what makes life exciting.
Think for yourself…. Do not listen to my ramblings.
I can afford to lose a $100k because I have been a sucker and a loser many times in my life…. and learned from my losses.
That’s life. Thats called wisdom and experience….which can be priceless.
Take care.
WHAT IS EXPENSIVE?
I was late into Bitcoin. I waited too long….which may have been a good thing. I waited because I did not understand today’s modern money.
So I bought my first Bitcoin at $6000 a coin. It was expensive.
Today I wish I had bought more at $6000.
Today Bitcoin is $107,000 a coin.
Again my mind says “That’s expensive” but I am buying more.
Why?
Because if and when Bitcoin’s sells for $1 milliona coin, I will once again be saying “I wish I had bought more.”
Even if you can afford only one Satoshi today….I believe five years from now you will be saying, “I wish I had bought more.”
Will Bitcoin hit $ 1 million a coin?
I do not know.
What I do know is….I will be saying, “I will wish I had bought more at $107,000. At a $107,000 Bitcoin was priceless.”
Take care.
Bitcoin is a savings vehicle
Right now most of the world sees it as a risky asset
The truth is, Bitcoin eliminates risks that the legacy financial system has
Bitcoin is the only digital asset that is truly decentralized
The price in terms of US dollars may be volatile for a very long time (or forever)
But 1 BTC will always be equal to 1 BTC
Today, 1% of the world owns Bitcoin
In the coming months and years, Bitcoin will be distributed to more people
The current holders are going to have to be incentivized to sell
Wall Street is well known to use fear to its advantage
Keep in mind most of the people who own Bitcoin today don't actually understand it
They own it to make US dollar profits
People can FOMO in on the downside, OR on the upside
This means that Wall Street firms can increase the price of Bitcoin to get people to sell...
Because Wall Street has unlimited purchasing power
Dollars are WORTHLESS
More can be printed to buy Bitcoin at any time
Banks can print more at any time
Wall Street will pump Bitcoin's price to millions of dollars and get the people who don't understand it to sell their holdings
To me, Bitcoin is worth A LOT more than its US dollar price
Bitcoin is about freedom
Not having to rely on a bank or government to store and protect my wealth
I don't care where the US dollar value of Bitcoin goes
If I need some fiat to pay for my expenses, I'll sell some Bitcoin
If I have extra fiat, I'll buy some more Bitcoin
Unless they're in the early stages of a career or starting a business, productive people are net buyers of Bitcoin
This means the available supply is going to decrease forever because more and more productive people will create value and take any available Bitcoin
So use Bitcoin the way it's intended to be used - as a savings vehicle
If you trade in and out based on the USD price, you will get REKT
On a Bitcoin standard, no one will want to own real estate as a savings account
House prices will fall to utility value
Houses will be a liability rather than an asset
The wealthy won't want to own more houses than they need, because they would rather own Bitcoin
The cost of production for housing will trend to zero forever in terms of Bitcoin
In terms of dollars, house prices will increase forever
If you save in dollars, your cost of living will rise forever
If you save in Bitcoin, your cost of living will fall forever
The future is bright for Bitcoiners
I've never met someone who got rich owning index funds while working a 9-5
That's because:
1) You need to save for ~40 years to become financially free in the legacy financial system
2) Most people are risk averse (a job is "risk-free", a business is risky) so they just hold cash - they don't want to risk their savings on stocks
Buy Bitcoin and you'll be able to retire in 10-15 years instead of 40
Bitcoin is the best cash to ever exist
You don't have to worry about a business going bankrupt and taking you with it
You don't have to worry about a CEO making it stupid decision and ruining your future
The best part:
You get better returns than people who are taking a MUCH bigger risk than you (real estate and stock investing is basically just gambling at this point)
If you keep trying to time the market, you will never buy Bitcoin
When the price is going up, you'll feel like you missed out
When the price is going down, you'll feel like it's going to 0
Just buy you what you can, continue buying over time, and live your life
Time in the market > timing the market
Buy whatever you can and expect to be wrong for 4 years
After 4 years, I think you'll be pretty happy
I want to buy a new car, but I've been delaying the purchase because I know in terms of Bitcoin car prices trend to 0
A car that costs $35,000 today (~0.32 BTC) is going to cost $40,000+ in a few years
But for anyone saving in BTC, the price of the car will fall to 0.3 BTC, then 0.25 BTC, and so on
When you save in fiat currencies, you are punished with higher prices if you delay purchases
When you save in Bitcoin, delaying purchases leads to lower prices
Obviously, you can't delay purchases forever
I'll just wait until I find a great deal on a car I like
