Yesterday,@ZimAddisAbaba made history as the 1st AU MS to ratify the Protocol on the Rights of Citizens to Social Security& Social Protection in Africa, adopted in 2022! In an extraordinary move,🇿🇼also deposited 2 more protocols on the same day, joining 15 other MSs in ratifying!

The 24th Ordinary Session of the African Union Commission on International Law (AUCIL) is now underway at the AU Headquarters! From May 6th to 17th, experts will discuss the codification and progressive #development of international and AU #law, along with the domestication of AU legal instruments.

This session is especially crucial for CSOs as it tackles pressing issues like #climatechange and Unconstitutional Changes of Government (UCG). These discussions influence policies that directly impact the communities and environments CSOs work to protect and improve.
