Guss what ?
If you are an asshole when you are poor & you suddenly got a lot of money, you are just an asshole with money now.
Money doesn’t change people it shows who they really are.
In the area of infinite options & leverage one must aim for finding the “worth of things ”. True for people , place , books , cause , mission etc.

The German’s self-assurance is worst of all, stronger and more repulsive than any other, because he imagines that he knows the truth—science—which he himself has invented but which is for him the absolute truth.”
- Leo Tolstoy (war & peace )
“...only Germans are self-confident on the basis of an abstract notion—science, that is, the supposed knowledge of absolute truth. A Frenchman is self-assured because he regards himself personally, both in mind and body, as irresistibly attractive to men and women.
An Italian is self-assured because he is excitable and easily forgets himself and other people. A Russian is self-assured just because he knows nothing and does not want to know anything, since he does not believe that anything can be known.
Those who fall into mediocrity often reproduce with the hope that their children will achieve what they couldn’t—releasing frustration into hope.
And the cycle begins again.
Between birth and death: capitalism, God, nations, propaganda—and the human need for meaning.
When people have children, society rarely asks about IQ, genes, nutrition, environment, or the conditions into which that child will be born. It talks about love.
But when that child grows up and tries to climb the social ladder, suddenly IQ, genes, nutrition, environment, education, and “merit” matter.
Love was enough to justify creating the person; it becomes irrelevant when that person fails to compete.
@evolving__unit@naval Mother one is selfish gene 🧬.
2nd one is the idea of love not real feeling . You don’t love actors you love the idea of him .
You & naval both totally differ on the definition of love .
Science asks: “What is possible according to reality?
”Science fiction asks: “What if this possibility were real?”
Then ,
engineering asks:
“Can we actually make it?”
Imagine → question → explain → criticize → improve → build
That is basically the engine of technological civilization.
And it appears in both: science & science fiction.
