Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin just said on the record that she cannot trust Trump won't try to "steal it" — and then added the word "again."

Let's be precise about what she just claimed. She is alleging that the 2024 presidential election — in which Donald Trump won the popular vote, won all seven swing states, won the Electoral College decisively, and was certified by every state including those with Democratic secretaries of state and Democratic governors — was stolen.

This is the same Democratic Party that spent four years telling you that questioning election results is an attack on democracy. That people who raised doubts about 2020 were insurrectionists, election deniers, threats to the republic. They impeached a president over it. They prosecuted people over it. They disqualified candidates over it. They ran an entire political identity around the claim that denying election results is the gravest possible threat to American democracy.

Elissa Slotkin is now denying election results. On camera. In the United States Senate.

And she's doing it while opposing the SAVE America Act — the bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote — which tells you everything about why she doesn't want election integrity measures in place before the next election she's already pre-emptively calling stolen.

The rules, as always, apply only in one direction. Question a Democratic victory and you're a domestic terrorist. Question a Republican landslide and you're a brave defender of democracy.

Slotkin represents Michigan. Michigan voters sent her to the Senate. They deserve to know their senator believes their votes produced an ill∗gitimate result.
