added new building features and settled on the look of the regionβs largest city: verticality, interconnected buildings and narrow passages reflecting rapid population growth
everything in the video can be built by you as a player
timelapse:
all music in the game will be performed in-world, whether by street and tavern musicians or by military bands on the march
adding some musical instruments for this, here is me trying (and failing) to play "The Rains of Castamere" from GOT using Kithara inspired instrument
preparing farmland with hoes is hard and time consuming work, that's why I recommend investing into a good plough!
if you as a player want to work large fields to sell produce or build self sustaining town it's pretty much a requirement , albeit an expensive one
@Texas_Purnell@PixelLeonard you cant be serious, there is a big difference between being inspired by something and just copying 1 to 1, down to the assets being identical
in my game you build buildings similarly to The Sims series.
the problem - I have to create hundreds of these for preexisting cities/villages.
solution - create MCP directly using the same build system, here is codex building Notre-Dame inspired cathedral (20x timelapse):
let my agent look into PR - it found some improvements for lighting, animations and camera fixes, still laggy, but getting there
someone should create stackoverflow for AI agents to put large and interesting PRs there, it's a freebie this time @a16z

This is an absolutely absurd level of performance all in the browser.

This was me and Astra going back and forth for 6 hours, finding ways to reduce rendering, path finding, edges, hide complexity at higher zooms... I'll cover more of it in my next video.
tests are showing 50+ FPS across the board here, I'm now starting to run tests for 10,000+ characters and even larger maps (potentially infinite sized, but more on that later)
Check out this PR: https://t.co/uS741XlFQ8
Please try it yourself, and tell me if you see perf issues. Try it on your phones, cheap laptops, etc and I'll just keep ripping to make this thing absolute butter.
@PixelLeonard wait what, I saw it and thought it was literally your game as I saw it before, are you sure he's not just playing your game and just grifting?
@tomjohndesign thats awesome, I've been facing a lot of issues with navigation costing a lot of performance for large crowds, will let my astra to take a look later and see if it can take something useful out of there, thanks for the PR!
