We're announcing today that @logcatai
has raised a $2.55M pre-seed to build the future of device systems engineering.
The round is led by @founderscoop, with participation from @ActOneVC, @alumniventures, TheFounderVC, Shorewind Capital and Clayoquot Capital. Grateful to each one of them for backing us this early.
Here's the gap we're going after. The AI wave that transformed how the world writes application code never reached the OS layer. The engineers building Android, embedded Linux, kernels, and drivers, the software every phone, vehicle, and connected device actually runs on, are still working with tooling built for a different era. Getting an OS running on new hardware remains one of software's hardest problems: no two boards behave alike, every release shifts the ground underneath, and the bugs that matter rarely respect layer boundaries. A bug surfaces in one layer while its root cause hides three layers down, and untangling it demands an engineer who can hold the entire stack in their head. There are very few of them.
So we're building a platform that investigates the traces device engineers live in, kernel dumps, modem logs, bug reports, across all of them at once, from one device or many. It finds the root cause in minutes instead of days, then maps it straight into the codebase and recommends the fix. Hundreds of engineers already use it, with over 10 billion lines of trace data analyzed and thousands of autonomous investigations run.
And this is just the start. Diagnose today; fix, validate, and eventually engineer an OS across every layer, all the way to bringing one up on new hardware end to end. One platform where today there are a dozen disconnected tools.

@Krishnavamsi_KV You don't have to hold on to a big responsibility as it might seem. For example, one does not need to run bitcoin node to use bitcoin. We just need to keep our account info safe just like in traditional banking.
@Krishnavamsi_KV The fundamental problem is a single entity cannot be trusted. For so called trusted institutions today we again have different entities to keep them in check like RBI for banks and so on.
