Talked with a new https://t.co/8euuc0fW4e Teacher today. Learned how busy she is and how tough it is to find time to get started with new technology -- even if it will save time and make things easier.
I feel it too, and if you need help getting setup, please reach out!
Years ago, I experimented with weekly recaps. Still think they are a GREAT idea for showing the FUN learning that is happening in your classroom #MTBoS

In the old days, professional development was built into a teacher's workday. We took a half-day, had a sub, and had time to learn and work together.
I feel like the new PD model looks like an after school, unpaid, 90-minute Zoom call.
Anyone else feel like this?
This week, AdventurEDU added:
โข Tips to make it easier to get started
โข A help button that leads to a growing collection of videos showing how to do common things
โข Easier way to add students: copy and paste an entire class (THIS IS AWESOME!)

@Joshi_anch@aledaklassen@pgliljedahl Love the group idea. Here's a way to randomize who shares from a group (Start 0:58 Stop 1:15) https://t.co/LYCtETsQyo

4th Grade Teachers: my daughter is spending 2-hours a night on homework. Is this what you expect your 9 an 10-year olds to be doing too?
I'm happy to see that she is working hard, and proud of her, but just not sure is this is too much...
Super curious anytime someone signs up for The Targets App. It's a powerful tool, but I really haven't been able to articulate the benefits. If youโre curious to know more about my vision for it, check out:

@Renard_Is_Here You are so right!!! I love having math talks with my daughters BUT if I am not extra patient, they can end up not being the best for our relationship. I want to bond with my girls in other ways!
@thriveinedu@mjmcalliwrites@EdSurge I LOVE that a students built this! It's a no brainer, and something that I thought about building when we were all Zooming. But as one of those starting the meetings and figuring that side of things out... yeah, no time. Can't wait to share with students tomorrow
@CarolJago@mjmcalliwrites So true! I see this in the websites my students are building. Those who pick a topic they love are much more engaged and creative
