Two adjustments so far this week: 1. Rolled the call spread down into a Big Lizard for more credit 2. Rolled the put out to the Jun expiry for more credit. Total credit now up to $12.45 and currently ITM $9.05.
$FB ATM Jade Lizard. The short call is ATM, and the call spread is $5-wide, BUT I collected $9.24, which means I make $4.24 even if my call spread is blown through entirely, but the extra credit from that spread helps reduce my BE to the downside by a couple bucks. #tastytrade
@ayeshatariq It's what I would do. Why would I liquidate stock and create a taxable event (and possibly tank the company being partially liquidated--ie $TSLA)? That would be unwise. I use M1 Borrow for this exact reason (except I couldn't move any stock prices) & I'm not even a millionaire.

Threw a short call spread (55/60) on $TWTR with the short strike above @elonmusk's offer of $54.20. Collected $0.93. I'm not sure @Twitter is smart enough to take his offer, but you never know--going bearish and hedging my emotions π
@tastytrade, to get a free copy of the Unlucky Investor's Guide, I read "funds deposited into a tastyworks account to meet the $2,000 minimum must be made via ACH, wire, or check"
Does this mean an ACAT transfer from a non-Tasty broker won't qualify? π’
Squeezed in a short put on $XLU before market close. 63 strike (27 delta). 21 Jan expiry. IVR @ 50%. Collected $0.95. BPR is a bit high (>$1K), but π€·ββοΈ Decided against a strangle, since there wasn't much premium on the call-side. #tastytrade#options
Focus on building yourself up--not tearing others down. You are capable of much more than you think.
(I am not affiliated with M1 Finance; I only use them as an example)
Also, borrowing in this way incurs risk; so please don't do it unless you really know what you're doing.
People complain that it's not fair for wealthy people like @elonmusk to be able to borrow against their stock portfolio and not pay tax (on unrealized capital gains).
Do you realize you can do this as well? M1 Finance allows you to borrow against up to 35% of your portfolio.
@optionsappetite I've wondered the same thing. The only thing I can think is how many people are turning to crypto as a hedge against inflation instead...not sure if that's the case or if it'll last even if it is π€·ββοΈ I'm long gold and silver as of April 2020..
Closed at P50 today π°π₯³ There were some scary moments that made me doubt my decision to bet against $TSLA, but it eventually worked out...this time. #tastytrade#options
Fading $NVDA. Short call vertical ($5-wide). Collected $1.42. IVR around 50%. Stock is flying high, so I'm playing contrarian. 17 Dec expiry. #tastytrade#options
I played with earnings...swing and a miss! Completely breached (by 20%). Not making any adjustments at this time, since I'm long-term bullish on $SWBI. In fact, I sold the 15 strike put for $0.70 in another account today. #tastytrade#options
