@zebriez SFO and LAX are capacity constrained and they have to let international flights land so the gate the west coast flights. It’s even worse for the smaller cities like those in Idaho and Montana etc.
@ashebytes@Bonecondor@secretsoupco Form your “irl collectives front”. When shocks happen they’re the color of your 🪂 Stasis caused by fear numbs us to forget our agency. Get out there and collide with others and try new/hard things. Loved “be a lighthouse!”
@thealepalombo So many good options. This is probably my favorite of this meme. Given that it’s every year, I pick A as there’s so much variety and amazing food (even from the other regions. . .)
@david_perell I think about this almost daily. As we all look for ways to get back to IRL and feel something more than fleeting emotions, we will have to examine our relationship with space. Design and beauty necessarily come back into focus.
@BoringBiz_ I wondered (very briefly. . .) given that he likely has access to all kinds of proprietary data/signals. Then I remembered that high conviction entrepreneurs like Thiel sometimes ignore the data and go with their gut. Either way it’s mildly unsettling.
@drgurner@BillDA Maybe. But humans have more inputs than vision (images and text) and those impart information. AI may get there at some point but innovation by nature requires trying something beyond pure pattern recognition. Differences on the edges may persist for a while. . .
@Nale The answer is that there are no venues to keep playing sports unless you put in a lot of effort, training and $. Yes. Most won’t play professional or D1, but the longer they play the more benefits they get. Yes those she listed. Would be great if there were more options.
@lyndseyfifield@jamesonhaslam This generation wasn’t concerned with suppressing feelings or not talking about certain topics. We could use more open discourse today. Especially from those who’ve seen the movie a time or two. . .
@FiSurgi They’re very different. With the right role at Google you can run a business. Consulting can also good but you have to be OK with indirect influence and different comp structure.
@SahilBloom Almost no one has expectations for you except you and your parents. Those are likely flawed. If you find a champion who believes in your potential and has power/means to affect your trajectory, GO ALL IN. This is RARE. Maximizing your “luck surface area” is key here as well. . .
